Abstract
This invention provides a light-weight composite material rim structure of a high-rigidity bicycle and its production method. The structure is mainly made by placing a predetermined number of reinforcing members at equal interval inside a composite material rim, and the reinforcing members are radially arranged relative to the axis of the composite material rim. The production method includes the following steps: making a plurality of foaming material arc segments in identical arc shape; taking a predetermined number of foaming material arc segments and joining them in sequence into a ring body in a circular shape, and arranging a reinforcing member at each joining end of the foaming material arc segments; wrapping the surface of the ring body with a prepared composite prepreg; using a mold to heat and press the ring body covered with a composite prepreg to from a composite material rim.
