Abstract

This invention relates to a synchronous folding mechanism for back flaps of a book jacket. The synchronous folding mechanism at least comprises a cutting unit and a folding unit. The cutting unit has two cutting components, the distance between which is adjustable, and a backup roller. The raw material for the book jacket is guided on the backup roller, and two impression lines are formed by the cutting components. The folding unit has a guide wheel component with a variable width. Both sides of the guide wheel component are respectively aligned with the circular blades of the two cutting components. Thus, after the raw material for the book jacket is formed with two impression lines through the cutting components and transferred to the folding unit, by the two impression lines being aligned with the both sides of the guide wheel component, the back flaps outside the impression lines sag naturally and are folded synchronously when the raw material for the book jacket is guided at the guide wheel component, so that the manufacturing process is simplified and a constant dimension of the book jacket is obtained.
