Abstract

The invention is about water drainage structural improvement for an indoor air conditioner. Besides the drainage hole on the side of the water-collecting dish of the indoor air conditioner, there is another lateral hole. This lateral hole is connected through a connector to a drainage box that is inside the air conditioner. This drainage box with a water pump and water level sensor inside is connected to a compressor. Based on this arrangement, either the lateral hole can be sealed to drain the condensed water through the drainage hole or the drainage hole can be sealed to drain water through the water pump to the drainage pipe. The drainage box and water pump will be enclosed in the air conditioner to keep its integrity; furthermore the customer will have different water drainage options based on the available room for the installation.
