Abstract

An electric assisted bicycle is disclosed, wherein the electric assisted bicycle comprises a drive shaft 4 rotated by a pedaling force, a primary sprocket 2 attached to the drive shaft 4 for transmitting the pedaling force to a drive wheel 22, a supplementary sprocket attached to the drive shaft 4 and coaxial to the primary sprocket 2, a pedaling force detecting sensor for detecting the pedaling force, an electric force output unit box 13, which is detachably installed on a main body and outputs electric forces in responding to the pedaling force detected by the pedaling force detecting sensor, a power sprocket connected to the output rotating shaft of the electric force output unit box 13, an auxiliary chain tugged between the supplementary sprocket and the power sprocket, and a battery bracket 165 capable of receiving the battery 162 for the electric force output unit box 13. As a result, since the degree of freedom for disposing each components is greatly extended, the overall size is minimized, and the overall weight is decreased, it is possible to electricize a bicycle with an ordinary frame more easily.
