Abstract

A vertical type vacuum continuous casting equipment is provided, includes a chamber, an evacuating unit to evacuate the gas in the chamber to nearly vacuum state, a melting furnace provided inside the chamber to melt the solid metal into liquid, a gas agitator that provides protective gas for agitation and drossing of the liquid metal, a continuous casting mold provided on the base of the furnace and protruding from the chamber, a first air-transporting unit that can transport the protective gas into the chamber, a cooling unit that surrounds the outer part of continuous casting mold, and a drawing-out unit fitted below the continuous casting mold. By utilizing the evacuating unit to create a nearly vacuum environment, the melting and refining of material can be operated at the same equipment to reduce chances of pollution, to obtain high purity material, and shorten process time and save equipment purchasing cost.
