Abstract

This invention relates to a gilding carrier using merging location of patterns to from different light patterns and method for making same. This invention primarily uses pattern shapes of a first set of patterns and the patterns shapes of a second set of patterns, and merges the pattern shapes of the two sets of patterns to form shapes of a base pattern. The shapes of the base pattern are outputted to gilding paper, in accompaniment with a template having figures and pre-mounted on a gilding machine, for forming a gilding face (figurative face) having partial patterns of the base pattern on a substrate upon by pressing the carrier and performing the gilding operation. Each unit of the two sets of patterns merge to generate a 3-dimensional layered appearance (that is, having different light patterns) and visual effect that is different from a 2-dimensional effect by using light refraction. Since each unit of the two sets of patterns merge to form at least four merging locations (X1, Y1), (X2, Y2), (X3, Y3) and (X4, Y4), the coordinate references at the merging locations can serve counterfeiting and authenticating purposes.
