Abstract

The present invention provides a device for transporting a film. The device comprises at least one transporting roll having two traction gear rims, wherein the teeth of the gear rims have a rectangular cross-section and are configured differently in each gear rim. The teeth of the first gear rim are dimensioned such that they contact perforation holes of the film only in the transporting direction of the film, and the teeth of the second gear rim are dimensioned such that they contact the perforation holes of the film only in a horizontal direction and perpendicularly with respect to the transporting direction. In this way one gear rim positions the film in the transporting direction, and the other gear rim positions the film in the horizontal direction and the perpendicularly thereto.
