Abstract

The present invention discloses a digital start control method of liquid crystal display (LCD) and apparatus. In the invention, a timing power source controller is used to control multi sets of power source switches of LCD. The timing power source controller uses timing signals to sequentially trigger ON/OFF for each set of power source. Each one of trigger timings has constant delay time for turning on/off multiple sets of power sources so as to provide accurate turning-on and turning-off sequence. Therefore, the invention is capable of effectively avoiding the drawbacks of non-smooth turning-on and turning-off due to the erroneous switching sequence caused by noise interference in controlling the start of multiple sets of power sources in the conventional analog type LCD.

Description

Description of the invention (/) The present invention relates to a digital starting control method and device for a liquid crystal display, and in particular to a method that can accurately control the sequential switching of multiple sets of power supplies of the liquid crystal display for successful completion. Control method and device for switching on and off. Due to the high cost / price of liquid crystal displays, the traditional display manufacturers previously expected that it would be difficult for liquid crystal displays to replace cathode-ray tube displays in a few years. The main reason is that liquid crystal displays rely on foreign technology and the yield rate has not been effectively improved, so the cost is still high. The price has not been able to be significantly reduced. However, the amazing thing about the electronic technology industry is its high-efficiency research and development capabilities. As a result, LCD monitors have also made breakthroughs in manufacturing technology and can effectively improve their yield. At present, the price of 14.5-inch LCD monitors has been Significantly lowered 'so the prediction that liquid crystal displays cannot replace ray tube monitors in the short term is self-defeating. In fact, the reason why LCD monitors are delicate is not only that the power supply rules and control methods used in the process technology are more complicated than traditional monitors. For example, LCD monitors are powered by multiple sets of power supplies with different rules (such as + 3 · 3V, +3 · 45V, +9. 2V, -6V, + 18V, etc.), and multiple groups of power must be turned on and off in a certain order before they can be turned on or off normally. When the order of the switches is wrong, they cannot be turned on or off smoothly. Traditionally, the technology of sequentially switching multiple sets of power supplies of an LCD display adopts an analog method. The design principle is roughly shown in Figure 5. When it is turned on, the first group of power supplies Va is turned on first, and the first group of analogs is compared. The capacitor ci at the input of the comparator U1 turns on charging to form a delay. When the input voltage is greater than the reference voltage VrefA, the output signal of the first comparator 打开 turns on the second power supply VrefB; and the second comparator U2 is input 3. J. -------- ^ -----: ---- line. (Please read the notes on the back before filling this page) t Wave scale is applicable to Chinese national standard (NS) A4 size coffee χ (NO) 5. Description of the invention (meaning) The capacitor C2 on the terminal is charged, and when the input voltage is greater than the reference voltage VrefB, the output signal of the second group of comparators U2 turns on the third group of power sources Vc, so sequentially turn on each group of power sources Vd, VE ····Wait. However, the aforementioned comparator circuit, which relies on sequentially turning on the power of each group, is an analog form, which is very easy to be affected by noise and cause malfunction (resulting in the reference voltage Vref instability). When malfunction occurs, the power of each group is not the same as before. 'Sequential turn on' and as mentioned before, if the power of each group is not turned on in order, the LCD monitor cannot be turned on / off sequentially. As can be seen from the above, the traditional circuit setting of the sequential switching of multiple sets of power supplies of the LCD display is analogous, which is susceptible to noise interference and malfunctions, and the startup / shutdown operation cannot be completed smoothly, so it needs to be further reviewed. And seek a feasible solution. ... ^ The main purpose of the present invention is to provide a control method and device that can precisely control the liquid crystal display to sequentially switch on and off the power supply in order to successfully complete the switching on and off. The main technical means adopted to achieve the foregoing purpose is to make the foregoing method open. The crystal display ^ multiple sets of power are controlled by-electronic switches ^ 7 The switches of each group of electronic switches are controlled by a set of timing signals: n signal after each-triggering edge is formed, it will generate 7 sets of electronic switches in the delay state One-touch I; One --- = Front = 丄 Each group of electronic switches can make each group of power on or off in a specific order under accurate time base conditions.
