Abstract

A four-way valve according to the invention comprising a body having a main flow passage, a valve chamber and a pair of divergent flow passages; and a cylinder body in which a piston is fitted; wherein the valve chamber is communicated with the main flow passage via a communicating port having a valve seat, the divergent flow passage is formed such that the lowest inner diameter portion thereof is flush with the bottom of the valve chamber, the piston is provided at the lower surface thereof with a projecting rod portion having a valve body at the tip thereof, the valve body is connected to a diaphragm supported on the body, and the cylinder body is provided with a pair of working fluid supply ports for moving the piston up and down.
