Abstract

The present invention provides a computer connection device for providing both the power and signaling connector or only the signaling connector. The computer connection device is used to connect a peripheral device with a computer system. The computer system comprises a computer case, a processor configured in the computer case to control the operation of the computer system, and a power supply. The peripheral device comprises at least a plug electrically connected to the peripheral circuit with a plurality of signaling connectors used for sending and receiving the electric signal to/from the peripheral circuits. The connection device comprises a socket fixed on the case with a plurality of signaling connector electrically connected to the computer system; and, a plurality of power connectors electrically connected to the power supply for supplying the DC power. When the plugs of the peripheral devices are inserted into the sockets of the connection device, the plurality of signaling connectors in the plugs of the peripheral device will contact with the plurality of corresponding signaling connectors in the socket to transmit the electric signal between the computer system and the peripheral device; and, the plug of the peripheral device can be configured with a plurality of power connectors to electrically connect to the plurality of power connectors in the socket of the connection device so that the peripheral device can get the required DC power during operating the peripheral device.
