Abstract
The present invention provides a dielectric barrier discharge lamp apparatus which can enhance the uniformity of the radiated energy intensity and can well solve the heating or lifetime problem with high power output and large power. A dielectric barrier discharge lamp apparatus comprises a discharge plasma space G filled with discharge gas that can produce excimers by dielectric barrier discharge. A dielectric D lies between the above mentioned discharge gases and at least one of two discharge electrodes E to apply the discharge phenomenon to the above mentioned discharging gas of the structure of the dielectric barrier discharge lamp B, and the dielectric barrier discharge lamp apparatus whose power supplying means applies high voltage by the above mentioned electrodes Ea, Eb of the above mentioned dielectric barrier discharge lamp, which characterizes in: the above mentioned power supply means is divided into front stage M and back stage S, and the back stages S are corresponding to the dielectric barrier discharge lamps B, respectively. The front stage M of the power supply means supplies a common DC voltage 1 to the back stage S of the above mentioned power supply means, and each of the back stage S of the above mentioned power supply means converts the DC voltage 1 into an approximately periodic high AC voltage H using switching elements and a booster transformer T, and applies the above mentioned high AC voltage H to the electrode E of the above mentioned dielectric barrier discharge lamp B. Each of the back stages S of the above mentioned power supply means can independently adjust the frequency of the high AC voltage H, and the front stage M of the above mentioned power supply means can adjust the common DC supply voltage 1.
