Abstract

A driving circuit of a piezo-ceramic transformer capable of controlling an input voltage comprising a lamp; a PCT (Piezo-Ceramic Transformer) for driving the lamp; a PCT driving unit for driving the PCT; a voltage doubler rectifier for rectifying an output voltage; an amplifying circuit for outputting by summing a dimming voltage and the output voltage; a phase detector for comparing with the phase of the input signal of the voltage doubler rectifier and the PCT driving unit; a modulating circuit capable of always constantly obtaining an amplitude of a basic component when the input voltage is changed from Vmin to Vmax by controlling a ratio of signal provided to the PCT driving unit according to the output signals of the phase detector and the amplifying circuit. According to the driving circuit of the piezoelectric element, the inverter can be miniaturized by reducing the components of the switching device.
