Abstract

A method for providing a roof structure having a plurality of trusses spaced apart from one another in a parallel arrangement is disclosed. The trusses each have a top potion. A support sheet is payed out so that the support sheet depends from the top portions of adjacent trusses. Flexible insulation material is applied above the support sheet so that the flexible insulation material is supported by the support sheet. Metal deck sheets are fastened to the top portion of the trusses, thereby forming a metal deck. A temporary waterproofing sealant is applied to the metal deck to protect the flexible insulation material, thereby creating a partially completed roof structure. Rigid insulation board and a waterproofing membrane are subsequently applied onto the metal deck, thereby forming a completed permanently sealed roof structure.

The metal plates then connect the stringers on the insulation. Since the metal plate is a long thin plate, and the roof usually has two inclined parts, the construction of the roof system is from one end to the other along the length of the 5 structure. Workers stand on the previously paved roof to build the next part. Since the metal plates are exposed to outdoor air, the metal plates are connected together to obtain a waterproof sealing effect, and a water-proof roof structure is prepared. The metal plates are made of fairly expensive materials, such as galvanized iron, zinc plating or copper. The metal plates have an interlocking structure and a pre-applied sealant. 10 Due to the price of the board and the labor required for the combination, this waterproof sealing method is quite expensive. The second conventional roof structure includes a number of parallel street frames' or spar beams erected on a support beam. The roof construction includes fairly inexpensive metal panels attached to the street frame. In general, metal panels are not joined together to provide a waterproof seal, and they are made of fairly inexpensive metal. A rigid thermal insulation panel such as styrene foam or high-density glass wool is applied to the metal panel. Under certain conditions, such as in colder weather, the use of a few extra layers of rigid heat shields in this type of roof structure is more costly than using thicker rigid heat shields. Therefore, it is often impossible to achieve a high insulation quality of such a roof structure 20 at a low price. A waterproof film, such as a flexible rubber film 'or a combined roof system (BUR) is applied to the rigid thermal insulation panel. If there are holes in the film, the rigid heat insulation panel will be immersed in water and reduce the insulation effect of the roof structure. Although the above roof structure is good enough, people still want a relatively low-priced roof structure, but it has a fairly high thermal insulation performance, that is, a high R value. Description of invention (3) In addition, it is better to have a Inexpensive method of constructing a roof, it can construct a roof structure with relatively high thermal insulation performance and protect the thermal insulation material in the roof structure from water damage. So far, an improved method of building a roof structure has been invented, which is not only inexpensive but also achieves a relatively high insulation value. The roof is constructed by erecting a flexible thermal insulation material between the trusses, applying a metal panel to the trusses, and applying a temporary waterproof sealant to the metal panels. Next, a permanent waterproof thin film is applied on top of the metal plate. This method allows the flexible insulation material to be protected from water damage during the construction of the roof structure 10 before a permanent waterproofing film is applied. The permanently waterproof roof structure is quite thermally insulating. The present invention includes a method of preparing a roof structure having a plurality of trusses arranged in parallel with each other. A supporting sheet is unfolded so that the supporting sheet hangs down from the top of the adjoining hanger. The supporting sheet is preferably pulled down from a wheel box that moves along the length of the 15-street shelf during the construction of the roof. "The flexible insulating material is applied to the supporting sheet" so that the flexible insulating material is supported by the supporting sheet. Metal panels are connected to the top of the truss in a stacked manner to form a metal plate with seams. A temporary sealing waterproofing agent is applied to the metal plate to protect the flexible insulation material from water damage before applying a permanent waterproofing film to make a semi-finished 20 roof structure. The temporary sealing waterproofing agent can be applied to the stack between the metal panels. Placement 'may be applied to the seams of the metal plates. Thereafter, a rigid heat shield and a waterproof film are applied to the metal plate to form a permanently sealed roof structure. Figure 4 is an enlarged side view showing the temporary joint of two adjacent metal panels. Fig. 5 is a simplified 10 cross-sectional view of a completed roof structure erected in accordance with the present invention. The conventional roof structure shown in Fig. 1 is generally represented by the reference numeral 0. The roof structure includes a plurality of parallel spar beams 12 in a single direction. It extends across the building, and several beams erected on the roof of the rafter parallel to each other extend perpendicular to the rafter beam. A supporting sheet 16 crosses the abutment The strips hang down, and the flexible 15 thermal material M is placed on top of the support sheet. Then, the metal sheet 20 is connected to the beam 14 above the π insulation material, so that the edge of the support sheet is sandwiched between the metal sheet and the beam. In order to support thin plates and flexible insulation materials. Because metal plates are exposed to outdoor weather, the metal plates will be connected together to produce a waterproof joint, and a waterproof roof structure is prepared. For example, metal plates usually have an interlocking structure of 20 'And there is a pre-applied sealant on the interlocking area. The metal plate is made of quite responsible materials, such as money zinc steel, money zinc aluminum or copper. Figure 2 shows another conventional roof structure, generally labeled 30. Description of the invention (5) On top of the metal panel. Then a waterproof film 36 is applied on top of the rigid heat insulation panel to form a waterproof roof structure. Figure 3 shows a partially completed roof structure , Generally indicated by the reference numeral 40, is erected in accordance with the present invention. The roof structure is supported by trusses (not shown) 5. The trusses 31 are spaced apart and arranged parallel to each other. The distance standard of the street frame is 4 in the middle Feet (1.46 meters). As shown in Figure 5, the truss includes a top 42 and a vertical portion 44. The roof structure can also be constructed using pole beams or other similar structures. The term "street frame" used in this document and in the scope of patent applications includes not only traditional trusses, but also beams and other similar structural elements. Broadly speaking, the 'partially completed roof structure 40 is constructed using a wheel box 46 indicated by an arrow 48, which is mounted on top of the gun frame and travels in the downstream direction along the length of the truss. As the wheel magazine moves, a support sheet 50 is unrolled from a roll 52. The supporting sheet is suspended from the top of the adjoining truss, so that the supporting sheet is suspended from the top of the truss. The supporting sheet supports a layer of flexible thermal insulation material 54 placed on top of the supporting sheet between adjacent trusses. The flexible heat insulating material is unrolled from a roll 56. The length of the wheel box 46 can reach the width of the tail top. Preferably, the wheel case includes a plurality of wheel case parts connected together so that they span the entire width of the inclined portion 20 of the roof. The wheel then advances in a downstream direction by pulling the device, such as a winch (not shown) over the truss, so that the wheel section moves uniformly. Since the supporting sheet hangs across the top of the adjoining truss, the entire width of the supporting sheet is wider than the distance between the trusses. Therefore, the adjacent support sheet rolls are non-collinear 'and must be slightly staggered. Basically, a round of £ partly covers -8-cuts: v⑽-- 一. Description of invention (6) The distance between two trusses' is about 10 inches (3.7 meters) in length. Preferably, each round ^ part is provided with a main pro-rolling 52 and a heat-insulating support sheet 4 which is more than a rolling 61, and is prepared for two separate moth gaps. The edge of the supporting sheet of Tuolian Pro-rolled 52 will hang on the edge of the main roll 52 when it moves in the downstream direction of the wheel. Several have the same-the main and tow rolls are exactly the same, and the S parts are connected together, and each roll is staggered with a pro-rolling "" The wheel box can be any moving along the top of the truss And distribute the appropriate device to support the sheet. As shown in Fig. 3 ', the wheel 46 includes a safety handrail 62 and a walking board 10 64 so that a worker can stand on it while operating or moving the wheel box at the same time. Preferably, the wheel box has an hourglass-shaped roller on the top of the truss 31 to facilitate the movement and maintain the wheel box and truss alignment. The wheel box also includes a frame 68 to erect the rolls 52 and 61. Although the two-rolled sheet is shown in FIG. 3, the main roll 52 is in the rear, and the drag roll 61 is shown in the front. The rotating rod 15 is erected on the frame, which extends laterally across the supporting sheet and is slightly positioned above the top 42 of the truss 31 to guide the supporting sheet to a substantially horizontal position. The distance between the vertical portions 44 adjoining the truss 31 defines a heat-insulating cavity 72, as shown in FIG. The heat-insulating cavity has a substantially rectangular shape across the 20 faces. This makes it easy to evenly fill the insulation holes with a flexible insulation material without leaving a considerable gap, so as to produce the best quality roof structure. The purpose of the supporting sheet 50 is to support the flexible material in the heat-insulating cavity, but the supporting sheet 50 can also be used as a drop barrier for aesthetic purposes. A pleated support sheet which reduces the width of the rolls 52 and 61 can be used. Description of the invention (7) When it is opened in the hot hole "The supporting sheet can also be perforated To allow any water to escape from the insulation holes, 'avoiding a reduction in the insulation quality of the flexible insulation material. The support sheet may be any material suitable for the above purpose, such as vinyl or foil. 5 Connected to the wheel case is a flat plate 74 extending from the wheel case 46 in an upstream direction opposite to the downstream direction 48. The rolled 56 flexible insulation material 54 is not mounted on the wheel box, but can be placed on a flat plate. The slab supports the unfolded support sheet so that the support sheet does not sag, and the longitudinal side of the support sheet is pulled away from the top 42 of the truss. Generally speaking, the 'slab is located in a gap 75 between the partially completed roof structure 40 and the wheel box 46. The flat plate prevents wind from blowing vertically through the gap 75 and interferes with the flexible heat insulating material 54 and the supporting sheet 50. If constructed with sufficient strength, the slab can be used to protect workers from falling off the main edge of the previously completed roof section. "Protection" as used herein and in the scope of the patent application means that the flat plate can withstand 15 weights of 25 pounds per foot 2 (1200 N / m2). This should be sufficient to support workers who accidentally step on the slab ^ However, the slab can be constructed by any suitable method. The plate can be attached to the wheel case by any suitable method, such as several hooks 76 extending vertically from the plate. The other end of the slab is supported by rollers 78 arranged along the top of the truss. After the flexible insulation material is placed on the support sheet, a long rigid roof material, such as a metal panel 58, is connected to the support sheet and the top of the truss on the insulation material. Several metal panels are formed_metal plate 59. The connection of the metal panel is pressed down on the edge of the support sheet, and the edge is sandwiched between the top of the truss and the metal panel, so that the support sheet supports the insulation between the trusses. Description of the invention (8, .., the structure is the best, the metal panel is made of relatively cheap, and the surface layer is not made of weather-treated materials. The sheet metal plate 58 of the present invention is fixed in a stacked manner At the top of the truss 31, a seam 60 clearly shown in the enlarged figure 4 is made. The metal panel can be fixed by any suitable method, such as adding a screw to fix the device, and the metal panel is a long thin plate. It is basically 30 to 35 inches (10.9 to 12.8 τη) and the roof generally has a single slope. A portion of the roof structure is first built along the width of the slope, and then the roof is built down from one end to the other along the length of the structure .Workers can stand before 6 On the first part of the connected roof structure, the next part is assembled. The wheeler travels along the length of the truss and is moved by the worker whenever a new part of the roof is assembled. As mentioned above, the first Figure 3 shows a partially completed roof structure 40. Basically, the present invention constructs a partially completed roof structure 40 by using a set of slab insulation erection workers and using the wheel box system described above. Thereafter, a group of roofs Worker 15 applies rigid thermal insulation board S2 and waterproofing film 84 to the roof structure 40 to form a complete permanent waterproof roof structure, as indicated by reference numeral 86 in Figure 5. As the roof structure 40 is completed in the construction part The time between and completed roof structure 86 can be several weeks. Partially completed roof structure 40 must avoid weather conditions such as rain, snow, wind and direct sunlight. Especially important is the use of flexible insulation materials. It is not damp. Since the partially completed roof structure 40 will eventually be covered by a permanent waterproofing system, the price of temporary protection must be minimized, but it can resist harmful outdoor environments. The method of the present invention After completing the roof structure 40, apply a temporary sealing waterproof agent to the relatively cheap metal plate 59 to solve this problem. -11-— — I1IIIIIIII1— ·-I (Please read the note on the back? Description of Invention (9) When the partially completed roof structure 40 is constructed, the first metal flat sheet 58 is placed on the flattened flexible heat insulation material 54 and the supporting sheet 50 and fixed to the top 42 of the truss 31, as shown in FIG. 4 The first layer of temporary sealing and waterproofing agent can be any sealing agent that is sufficient to prepare a temporary sealing effect, such as coating a sealing agent mainly based on asphalt by a 5-point iron device or a plaster sticking strip. It is preferred that the sealant maintains a considerable viscosity when exposed to the south temperature on the sheet metal roof in summer so that the sealant cannot make a sealing contact in this condition. Therefore, the melting point of the 'best' sealant is higher than 65 °. More preferably, the sealant is oxidized asphalt 'having a melting point boundary between about 165 ° F and about 200T, and most preferably between about 165 ° F and about 185T. This bitumen preferably has an ASTM D5 penetration of about 15 dmm to about 60 dmm at 77 eF, and most preferably between about 18 dmm to about 30 dmm. The edge portion 90 is on the downstream side of the first metal panel. A second flat thin 15 plate with an elongated edge portion 94 on the upstream side of the second metal panel is placed on top of the first metal panel. Edge portions 90 and 94 of the first and second metal panels 58 and 59 are stacked, respectively. Therefore, the first-layer temporary sealing waterproof agent 88 may be provided between the first and second metal panels 58 and 90 for temporary waterproof sealing. This stacking and sealing step is repeated until each new metal panel is fixed. The ends of the connected metal panels are also stacked and coated with sealant 20 to prepare a temporary seal. As used herein, the term "temporary sealant" refers to any suitable waterproof seal that can be used to provide a temporary but not permanent waterproofing of the roof structure 40. Description of the invention (10) Rain or snowstorm. Alternatively, the second layer of temporarily sealed JJ cuber agent 96 may be applied to the seam 60, which is located at the upstream edge of the second metal panel 92. Of course, the temporary sealant of the first layer 88 or the second layer 96 may be used alone as the sealant of the roof structure 40 or they may be used in combination. When large holes must be left in the roof structure 40 to accommodate, for example, plumbing, ventilation, and heating and cooling systems, temporary waterproofing systems may include temporary sealing of openings to protect the flexible insulation under the metal plate. Preferably, the sealing plate has a sealing strip, such as a bitumen-based sealant bead, or a double-sided devil felt strip 'coated on the edge of the sealing body that is in contact with the roof. Although the sealing slab cannot prevent water from flowing into the large opening b α to enter the building below it, the sealing slab can indeed prevent water from entering the isolation hole 'cavity' and damage the flexible insulation material. A group of roof workers will erect a rigid heat shield 82 and a waterproof film 84. The use of waterproofing membranes is suitable for a fairly permanent waterproof roof structure. 86 〇 The right waterproofing membrane creates a loophole, and the rigid insulation panel will seep water, so the quality of the rigid insulation panel is reduced. However, water leakage does not pass through the metal panel with the temporary sealant without damaging the flexible heat insulating material 54. Therefore, because most of the thermal insulation quality of the structure of the present invention is completed by the flexible thermal insulation material, the thermal insulation performance of the roof structure 86 of the present invention will not be damaged as the structure 30 of the conventional art shown in FIG. 2 is Big. In addition, it should be understood that the method of the present invention provides a relatively low-cost, 10-but high-heat-insulating tail-top structure. In particular, the method of the present invention allows the use of relatively thick insulation layers, such as wheel cases, and relatively inexpensive metal panels at the same time.
