Abstract

The present invention discloses a polyurethane resin composition for use in artificial and synthetic leather, as comprised of specific polyurethane resin having hydrolyzable silyl groups and organic solvent (or comprised of said polyurethane resin, organic solvent and catalyst for hydrolysis or condensing) and artificial and synthetic leather obtained from utilizing said compositions. A crosslinkable polyurethane resin composition for use in artificial and synthetic leather, as comprised of polyurethane resin having hydrolyzable silyl groups at the side chain or the terminal of the molecule and organic solvent, a polyurethane resin composition for use in artificial and synthetic leather, as comprised of said polyurethane resin, organic solvent and catalyst for hydrolysis or condensation of said silyl group, and an artificial or synthetic leather formed by filling or laminating said compositions. The abovementioned polyurethane resin composition of the present invention can be utilized to produce artificial leather with very pliable and fine outward appearance and produce of a firm cross-linkage hardening product is formed through the highly reacted cross-linking and the perfect solvent and chemical reagent-resistance it has. Therefore, said leather has high practical use in such as clothes, sports shoes, can seats, and furniture.
