Abstract

This device includes needles each having an eye into which a weft thread passes. The needles are arranged parallel to one another, all the needle eyes being situated on one and the same side. Means are provided for displacing one needle longitudinally in relation to the others between an inactive position and a selection position. The device includes a weft-thread guide which is arranged between the inactive position and the position for the selection of the needles and which causes a weft thread to converge towards a predetermined position when a needle passes from the inactive position towards the selection position.
