Abstract

A toy building system with toy building elements (1, 2) that may be interconnected by means of coupling means that are complementary in pairs and which may be interconnected in different fixed angulations. The first coupling means comprises a male coupling element (3) having a substantially polygonal cross section around a first central axis (9) whereas the second coupling means comprises a female coupling element (4) having at least two walls (6) that may temporarily secure the male coupling element (3) against rotation by abutting on several sides thereof. The cross section of the male coupling element and the walls (6) of the female coupling element are arranged symmetrically whereby a rotation of the male coupling element (4) relative to the female coupling element (3) does not, in their interconnected state, cause any sideways displacement of the toy building elements (1, 2).
