Abstract

A couple button comprises male and female members which can be coupled and uncoupled with maximum ease. The male member is adapted for attachment to one margin of a garment cloth and is composed of a base plate having on its front surface an ornamental portion 7 of various designs, a neck projecting centrally from a rear surface of the base plate and inserted in an attaching slot in the one margin of the garment cloth, and an umbrella-shape head projecting from a distal end of the neck and having along its peripheral edge an engaging portion. The female member is adapted for attachment to the other margin of the garment cloth and is composed of front and rear donut-shape discs having a central through-hole for receiving the head of the male member and connected to each other by a first tube-like connector so as to define between the front and rear donut-shape discs a first supporting-member-holding portion to be attached to another attaching slot for holding the other margin of the garment cloth. The through-hole has on and upper portion of its inner surface a second ridge-like engaging portion engageable with the engaging portion when the head is inserted into the through-hole.
