Abstract
A heating control apparatus of an air conditioner having a plurality of indoor units in connection with one outdoor unit for heating a plurality of rooms, the apparatus including: a plurality of power transmission expanding valves for controlling distribution of the coolant to the indoor units according to operation conditions thereof; a temperature detecting unit for detecting the temperature of an inlet and an outlet of an indoor heat-exchanger at an unused indoor unit during a heating operation; and a control unit for controlling the power transmission expanding valve of an unused indoor unit to prevent the coolant from remaining therein if there occurs over a predetermined temperature difference between the inlet and outlet of the unused indoor unit, to thereby prevent the coolant from remaining at the indoor heat-exchangers to improve the heating efficiency of the air conditioner.
