Abstract

The invention relates to a query system of bilingual data exchange, which uses an inputted incomplete non-mother-tongue word or a counterpart mother-tongue word synonym in a bilingual input mode to query the required non-mother-tongue word. The system essentially uses an input interception system to intercept an inputted content, checks the present mode of input, and performs a corresponding processing. When the inputted content is a non-mother-tongue word (e.g., English), a series of correct non-mother-tongue word which is like to the inputted word shape or meaning are retrieved from a bilingual database, and listed concurrently for a user to select. When an input is a mother-tongue word (e.g., Chinese), a series of non-mother-tongue correct word which meet the inputted mother-tongue word in the bilingual database are listed for the user to select, such that the user can switch the input mode and input the content to be queried, thereby obtaining a correct word.
