Abstract
In a latch-type electromagnetic valve (1) which uses a permanent magnet (3) to attract a plunger (2) and maintain an open valve state, which passes electricity through an electromagnetic coil (6) to generate magnetic lines in an opposite direction, and which uses the biasing force of a spring (7) to lower plunger (2), if it is desired to enhance the flow of magnetic lines from the electromagnetic coil (6), the area of the permanent magnet (3) is enlarged. However the area of the permanent magnet (3) is enlarged. However, the greater magnetic force of the permanent magnet (3) makes it difficult to close the valve, or the plunger (2) will be pulled away upwardly form the close valve state and cannot be maintained in the close valve state. To this end, a bypass portion (42) is designed to contact a magnetic core (4) and a frame (5) so that a portion of the magnetic lines from the permanent magnet (3) will not flow to the plunger (2) and will instead bypass the same. The magnetic force of the permanent magnet (3) acing on the plunger (2) is thus smaller.
