Abstract

A method for writing optical recording media, for setting of radiative beam optimal writing power, including: step 1 of writing on the medium a series of test patterns, having each of which a different writing power level; step 2, reading of relevant reading signals formed by the reading patterns; and step 3, leading a reading parameter value from each of the reading signals, and step 4, curve operation to the reading parameter for a function to define the relationship between the writing power level and the reading parameter, including the method: step 5, determination of the lead of the function with multiplication of a factor equaling the writing power by dividing by a reading parameter, for formulation of the lead function, and step 6, selection of the optimal writing power based on the formulated lead function.
