An electronic still camera including the camera body, having the camera an inserted slot carrier for carrying in the cartridge recording medium in the outer device, including the camera body: an optic system unit, having a lens for sensing objects, an image emitter, for receiving data from the sensed object through the lens, for conversion of the optic data into electronic signals, a processor, for conversion of the output signal from the image emitter into image signals, memory, for saving of the output image signals from the signal processor, a cartridge media connector, connecting the connector in the cartridge recording media inserted slot in the outer device, and interface, connecting the memory and the cartridge recording medium connector, for performance of communication between the outer device and the cartridge recording media interface of the memory.
