Abstract

A door assembly for a motor vehicle, which comprises: a door panel having an inner side and an outer side, the inner side of the door panel being adapted to face into a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle; a catch installed on the outside of the door panel and operatively and disconnectively connecting the door assembly at a close position; and a lock installed on the outside of the door panel and combined with the catch for allowing selective operation of the catch.
