Abstract
A method of improving CAS audio detection, which comprises using a dedicated chip or digital signal processor to detect a small segment of CAS audio signals under the presence of audio signal interference of a near end user when a telephone is detecting CAS audio signals; and after detecting a small segment of CAS audio signals, immediately using a masking circuit of a telephone to perform masking to the audio signals of the near end user such that the dedicated chip performs a detection again to the remaining CAS audio signals; so that, under no audio signal interference of a near end user, the telephone can accurately measure the length of the CAS audio signals, and identify the fidelity of the CAS audio signals based on the length defined by the specification, such that the sensitivity and dullness of a telephone for detecting CAS audio signals essentially can meet the requirements of a specification.
