Abstract

A process for packing meat, which comprises: (a) flushing the meat with a gas substantially free of oxygen; (b) covering the surrounding of the meat with a tubular heat shrinkable thermoplastic film; (c) sealing the longitudinal seam cover of the tubular thermoplastic heat shrinkable film; (d) sealing and dividing the portion of the tubular heat shrinkable thermoplastic film containing the meat therein, thereby sealing the meat and some flush gas in the heat shrinkable thermoplastic film; (e) removing the heat shrinkable film sealed with the meat therein from the gas flush means; (f) installing a blow gas opening on the heat shrinkable thermoplastic film; (g) thermally shrinking the heat shrinkable thermoplastic film on the meat contained in the film; (h) removing the shrunk packed meat from the thermally shrinking means and sealing the blow gas opening.
