A printing paper comprising: a sheet-like base; and a dye receiving layer disposed on the sheet-like base, the dye receiving layer being composed of a copolymer of substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol acrylate or substituted or unsubstituted phenoxy-polyethylene glycol methacrylate and another monomer, the substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol acrylate or the substituted or unsubstituted phenoxypolyethylene glycol methacrylate being of a proportion of 50 to 99 weight% of the copolymer.
