Abstract

A rolling mill slitting apparatus for longitudinal slitting of long-shaped products which travel along a rolling line and of at least 2 stages which are spaced tranversely and joined by an intermediate joint of reduced thickness, having the following: at least 1 pair of circular cutting discs that are rotatively installed on a common plane with a circumsference arranged for the cutting circular disc such that the discs protrude between the stages and piercing the joint from the 2 opposite sides of the rolling line while the rotation axis of the circular cutting disc becoming eccentric along the rolling line and in the direction of the products for the circular disc circumsference entering into the maximum corresponding shift of the joint; and the mechanism for he rotative drive of the circular cutting disc in opposite directions, making the products move along the rolling line and slitting them into finer wires.
