A security closure of a bottle or the like, especially of valuable liquor, comprises a cap and a security band that form a single part, a line of weakness between the cap and the security band, a screwthread in the cap and screwed onto a screwthread formed on the bottle, and a plurality of projection parts on the security band and against the shoulder of a collar formed on the bottle for axially maintaining the security band on the bottle. The projection parts comprises a plurality of tabs and certain of them being of a preset length set at the circumference of and projecting from the security band and directing towards the cap. The shoulder of the collar is engaged by the end surfaces of a certain of tabs. The closure is characterized in that a certain of tabs, which are set at the circumference of and projecting from the security band and directing toward the cap, are of a greater length so as to extend beyond the line of weakness with a section of defined length and so as to interfere with the collar.
