Abstract

A brush making machine comprises a mold for injection molding of brush bodies. The mold further comprises a stationary part, a movable mold part, and a pair of complementary mold parts fitting into a recess of the movable mold part. The complementary mold parts have tufts insertion holes therein and the pattern of the insertion holes is preset to fit turf design. A tufts provider provides the tufts of bristles into the insertion holes and to make those bristles extrude into the recess. The invention is characterized in that (a) the tufts provider comprises a tufts container for receiving prearranged parallel and close layout tufts of bristles and a plurality of tufts picking and transfer tubes, which have the same design pattern as that of the insertion holes, (b) the tufts picking and transfer tubes are acted to pick up tufts from tuft container and to transfer each of these tufts to a position adjacent one of the tuft insertion holes, (c) plunger members penetrate into respective tubes to push out the tufts of bristles contained therein and to force them into and through the tuft insertion holes.
