Abstract

A time-division multiplexing multi-viewpoint stereoscopic display device includes: A light source for providing the light beams necessary in the system; A rotatable polyhedral mirror that reflects the light beams generated by the light source to produce a scanning effect; A liquid crystal module through which the light beams reflected by the rotatable polyhedral mirror pass to display a two-dimensional image picture; A half-wave plate for changing the linear polarizing orientation of the light beams passing through the liquid crystal module; A projecting objective for projecting the picture on the liquid crystal module; Transverse polarizing plates which allows a portion of the picture on the liquid crystal module to pass and blocks the rest based on the different polarizing orientation of various areas on the transverse polarizing plates; and A Fresnel lens which makes the light beams projected on the lens to converge properly to be used as a viewing screen.
