Abstract
A process to convert linear alkenes containing 4 to 6 carbon atoms to methyl branched chain alkenes, which comprises, under temperatures ranging from 340℃ to 440℃ and pressures ranging from 0.5 to 5 atm, contacting a hydrocarbon feed stream containing at least one of the linear alkenes with an isomerizing catalyst, in which the catalyst comprises a one dimensional pore zeolite with one or more maximum pore sizes ranging from 0.42 nm to 0.7 nm which is H-ferrierite or a zeolite with same type of structure.
