Abstract

A method of number portability processing comprises the following steps: (1) At one signal transfer point receiving one query message for inquiring specific communication user information from one originator; (2) Querying one first database residing in the signal transfer point and deciding second database position residing in the signal transfer point to process the query message; (3) Querying the second database residing in the signal transfer point and getting the inquired information; (4) Transmitting the inquired information to the originator.
