Abstract
A process for the recovery of Tungsten Carbide from Tungsten Carbide Scraps of Cobalt as a binder includes the following steps : (a) soaking Tungsten Carbide Scraps (10) in electrolyte (9) of electrolysis tank (1); the electrolysis tank (1) consisted of Cathode and Anode; the electrolyte (9) selected from one of the acid solutions of Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, Sulfuric Acid, Phosphoric Acid; also included a selection from one of the Coordination Agents of Citric Acid, Aminoacetic Acid, Oxalic, Ammonium Chloride, EDTA; while connecting the Tungsten Carbide Scraps (10) to that Anode; in which the addition of Coordination Agent is between 0.1N~5.0N; the addition of that acid solution is between 5~50 g/l; (b) connecting electric current from Potentiometer to that Cathode and Anode, controlling the electric potential of Anode at 200~600mV and undergoing selective electrolysis, to dissolve Cobalt binder of Tungsten Carbide Scraps in electrolyte; (c) recovering Tungsten Carbide pellets.
