An automatic water supply device for making ice cubes, the characteristics including: a water reservoir located above an ice cube tray and having a water outlet at the bottom; a water outlet valve controlling the open and close of the water reservoir; a water supply section supplying water to thewater reservoir to a certain water level, and the water supply sectionitself also serving as a water tank; a water supply valve controlling the open and close of the water supply section; a driving unit responsible for closing the water supply from the water supply section to the water reservoir and meanwhile opening the water supply from the water reservoir to the ice cube tray; a continuous operation body matching the previous open and close actions; and a water supply tube to supply water to the ice cube tray by means of the drop in elevation.
