Abstract
The present invention relates to a sealing structure of heat-shrinkable sleeve for junction of pipes or cables and the same sleeve, and more particularly it relates to an improvement of the sealing structure by realizing a uniform shrinkage of the heat-shrinkable sleeve upon heating when the substrate to be sealed is contacted with the heat-shrinkable sleeve, the heat-shrinkable sleeve having relatively thickened corner parts formed by heat-shrinking both ends of the heat-shrinkable sleeve in advance, and also to the increase of the cracking resistance of the heat-shrinkable sleeve by interposing a reinforcing fabric between the sheet materials of the heat-shrinkable sleeve. The heat-shrinkable sleeve is fixed with a fixture on both ends thereof, each of the ends is heated by a heating means to shrink and form a corner part thicker than the unheated rest portions, the resulting heat-shrinkable sleeve is wrapped around the substrate to be sealed, a C-type channel is fitted on the above-described both corner parts to secure the latter, the rest portions are subjected to heating by a heating means to uniformly shrink overall, and concurrently the hot melt adhesive coated on the inner surface of the sleeve is melted and fills around the circumference of the substrate to be sealed, resulting in a perfect sealing structure by way of the heat-shrinkable sleeve in a form of sheet; the reinforcing fabric is disposed between the heat-shrinkable sheet materials to impart an improved cracking resistance to the heat-shrinkable sleeve; one or both outward surfaces of the heat-shrinkable sheet materials are provided with a protecting sheet or sheets; and one surface thereof is coated with the hot melt adhesive.
