A Kanji conversion learning apparatus has the following features: (1) system phase dictionary for storing reading phone code and its corresponding all phases and words with same phone, and semantic code of same phone phases or words; (2) semantic learning dictionary for dynamically recording learned combination of back-phase semantic code and front-phase semantic code; (3) semantic similarity calculating means by referring to the above semantic learning dictionary, utilizing set intersection operation to calculate semantic similarity between candidate phases of two syllable parts; (4) from partial unconverted syllables of input reading phone code row with convertible max. phase length as basis, cutting in syllable decrementing order as syllable part of current Kanji conversion target, with this syllable part as index key searching all corresponding same phone phases or word and its semantic code from system dictionary, then utilizing the above semantic similarity calculated by semantic similarity calculating means to get optimal path from candidate phase groups of input reading phone row, and with the phase or word of this path as conversion text; (5) through same phone selection by user, then from same phone phases or words indexed by text conversion means selecting wanted phase or word as conversion result by user; (6) through user confirmation, with the above conversion result updating the above semantic learning dictionary.
