Abstract

The package for liquid and solid contents described is composed of a cup-shaped lower part (1) with a continuously surrounding upper flange (2) and a lid (3) also with a continuously surrounding flange (4). At least the surfaces of the flanges (2,4) facing one another are provided with plastics material. Between the two flanges (2,4) a continuously surrounding, self-contained weld seam (5) is applied. In order to form a strip (6) with a grip tongue (9) for connecting the centre (8) of the lid (3), a tear line (7) in the form of a weak line is provided. In order to simplify manufacturing and to improve the sealing as well as the convenience of use, it is provided according to the invention that the weld seam (5) runs through the grip tongue (9), which is composed of two layers, the lower of which is configured integrally with the cup flange (2) and the upper of which is configured integrally with the lid flange (4), in that the part of the tear line (7) running in the area of the tongue (7) is divided into two sections (13,14), the lower section (13) of which extends into the layer on the cup flange (2) along the border between the cup flange (2) and the grip tongue (9) and the upper section (14) extends into the layer on the lid flange (4) some distance into the grip tongue (9), and in that the remaining part of the tear line (7) is configured as a line weakening both flanges (2,4).
