Abstract
A paper periphery folding apparatus, used for bending back over the excessive portion of a sheet of cover paper outside the margins of a hard cover as the cover paper is attached to the hard book cover or other hard certificate paper, consists of a base equipped with a front delivering belt and a top delivering belt for conveying hard covers, a holding device keeping hard covers moving steadily and smoothly during transportation, and folding guide rails disposed on two sides of the top delivering belt and secured on frames of the base for folding the cover paper beyond the side edges of the hard cover. In the back of the top delivering belt is a set of rollers with a brush located before the rollers to fold the cover paper beyond the front edge of the hard cover. Behind the roller set are a stop block and a slant board aligned in sequence, and a bottom delivering belt provided below the slant board. Further, another brush is placed at the back of the bottom delivering belt to fold the cover paper extending out of the rear edge of the hard cover, and one more set of rollers and a transverse delivering belt are arranged after the brush for collecting book covers with folded cover paper.
