Abstract

An energy saving method of a sensing device includes: sensing objects in a designated space to generate a tentative sensing signal by a low-energy-consumption motion sensor; determining if any moving object exists in the designated space, through the tentative sensing signal by a low-energy-consumption control unit; outputting an enabling signal to enable a high-energy-consumption control unit by the low energy-consumption control unit when a moving object exists the designated space; enabling a high-energy-consumption motion sensor by the enabled high-energy-consumption control unit; sensing, by the enabled high-energy-consumption motion sensor, motion and position of the moving object in the designated space to generate a motion sensing signal for the enabled high-energy-consumption control unit; and determining, according to at least one information template, the motion sensing signal to generate a determination result signal by the enabled high-energy-consumption control unit.
