"Connected" or "coupled" can also be used to mean that two or more components cooperate or interact with each other. In addition, although terms such as “first”, “second”, etc. are used herein to describe different elements, the terms are only used to distinguish elements or operations described in the same technical terms. Unless clearly indicated by the context, the terms do not specifically refer to or imply order or sequence, nor are they used to limit the present invention.

Please refer to FIG. 1, which is a schematic diagram of a touch display device 100 according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. At present, the touch circuit can be divided into external type "out-cell" and in-cell type according to the structure, and the in-cell type includes two kinds of "in-cell" and "on-cell". In some embodiments, the touch display device 100 is applied as an “in-cell” touch structure, but it is not limited to this.

As shown in FIG. 1, the touch display device 100 includes a processing unit 110, a display panel 120, and switch circuits 130A to 130E. The processing unit 110 may be a processor or an arithmetic circuit in the touch display device 100 for generating data signals and detection signals so that the display panel 120 can perform functions such as display and touch detection. In the drawings, only the positions of the components on the display panel 120 are drawn in a focused manner. Since the detailed features of the circuits and components in the display panel 120 are understood by those in the art, they are omitted here.

FA。 In some embodiments, the processing unit 110 is located above the switching circuits 130A to 130E, and is therefore represented by a dashed line. That is, after the switch circuits 130A to 130E are disposed in the non-display area of the touch display device 100, the processing unit 110 is disposed on the non-display area, so that the processing unit 110 and the switch circuits 130A to 130E are overlapped and disposed in the touch Control the same area in the display device 100. However, in some other embodiments, the switch circuit 130 can also be disposed in the fan out area FA of the touch display device 100.

122A、122B…122(n-1)、122n。 The display panel 120 includes a plurality of pixel circuits 121A~121D and a plurality of touch units 122A, 122B...122(n-1), 122n, of which the pixel circuits 121A~121D and touch units 122A, 122B...122(n- 1) 122n is located in the display area (Active Area) of the touch display device 100. The processing unit 110 includes a plurality of pins B1 to B10 for outputting various signals generated by the processing unit 110. The pins B1 to B10 are electrically connected to a plurality of data lines DL1 to DL9 in the touch display device 100 for transmitting data signals from the processing unit 110 to the pixel circuits 121A to 121D of the display panel 120. In addition, the pins B1~B10 are electrically connected to the multiple detection lines TP1 in the touch display device 100 through the switch circuits 130A~130E. ~TP5 is used to transmit the detection signal from the processing unit 110 to the touch units 122A, 122B...122(n-1), 122n of the display panel 120.

St1。 For ease of understanding, the operation of one of the switch circuits 130A and the corresponding pins B1~B2, the pixel circuits 121A~121D, and the touch units 122A~122B will be described first. Please refer to Figures 1 and 2. FIG. 2 is a partial schematic diagram of the touch display device 100 according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the processing unit 110 includes a first pin B1. The first pin B1 is electrically connected to the first data line DL1 and the first detection line TP1, so that the processing unit 110 transmits the first data signal Sd1 through the first pin B1 and the first data line DL1. The first pin B1 also transmits the first detection signal St1 through the first pin B1 and the detection line TP1.

The display panel 120 includes a first pixel circuit 121A and a touch unit 122A. The first pixel circuit 121A is electrically connected to the first data line DL1 for receiving the first data signal Sd1. The touch unit 122A is electrically connected to the first detection line TP1 for receiving the first detection signal St1. Since those skilled in the art can understand the driving principle of the pixel circuit and the touch detection principle of the touch unit, it will not be repeated here.

130A。 The switch circuit 130A is electrically connected between the first pin B1 and the first detection line TP1. The switch circuit 130A can conduct the first pin B1 to the first detection line TP1 according to the control signal Sc. That is, when the switch circuit 130A is turned on, the processing unit 110 can transmit the first detection signal St1 to the touch unit 120A through the first pin B1, the switch circuit 130A, and the first detection line TP1. In some embodiments, the control signal Sc is generated by the processing unit 110 and transmitted to the switch circuit 130A through the control line CL.

As mentioned above, the processing unit 110 transmits the first data signal Sd1 and the first detection signal St1 through the same first pin B1. Accordingly, the number of pins required to be configured on the processing unit 110 can be reduced, so as to improve the cost of the touch display device 100, and at the same time, the overall volume of the processing unit 110 can also be reduced.

In the conventional touch display device, the processing unit needs to transmit the data signal and the detection signal through different pins, so that the processing unit must have a larger number of pins. Therefore, the present disclosure improves the production cost of the processing unit 110 by means of "shared pins". In some embodiments, the switch circuit 130A is turned off during the display period, so that the processing unit 110 only transmits the first data signal Sd1 through the first data line DL1. The switch circuit 130A is turned on during the detection period, so that the processing unit 110 transmits the first detection signal St1 through the first detection line TP1. The details will be described later.

St1。 In some embodiments, the processing unit 110 further includes a second pin B2. The second pin B2 is electrically connected to the second data line DL2 and the first detection line TP1, so that the processing unit 110 transmits the second data signal Sd2 through the second pin B2 and the second data line DL2, and through the second connection The pin B2 and the first detection line TP1 transmit the first detection signal St1.

In some embodiments, the switch circuit 130A includes a first switch unit T1 and a second switch unit T2. The first terminal of the first switch unit T1 is electrically connected to the first detection line TP1, and the second terminal of the first switch unit T1 is electrically connected to the first pin B1. The control end of the first switch unit T1 is electrically connected to the control line CL, so that the first switch unit T1 is turned on according to the control signal Sc. For example: when the control signal Sc is at the enable level, the first switch unit T1 is turned on. Conversely, when the control signal Sc is at the disable level, the first switch unit T1 is turned off.

The first end of the second switch unit T2 is electrically connected to the first detection line TP1, and the second end of the second switch unit T2 is electrically connected to the second pin B2. The control end of the second switch unit T2 is electrically connected to the control line CL, so that the second switch unit T2 is turned on according to the control signal Sc. For example: when the control signal Sc is at the enable level, the second switch unit T2 is turned on. Conversely, when the control signal Sc is at the disable level, the second switch unit T2 is turned off.

In some embodiments, the first switch unit T1 is serially connected to the second switch unit R2 for transmitting the first detection signal St1 to the touch unit 122A. When the first switch unit T1 is serially connected to the second switch unit R2 and is electrically connected to the same detection line TP1, the switch circuit 130A can have a smaller impedance, which improves the accuracy of driving the touch unit 122A.

Please refer to FIG. 3, which is an equivalent schematic diagram of the touch circuit of the switch circuit 130A according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the first switch unit T1 and the second switch unit T2 can be equivalent to switch impedances TR1 and TR2. The processing unit 110 generates a detection signal St1 through the front-end circuit 110A, and transmits it to the first detection line TP1 via the pins B1 to B2 and the switch impedances TR1 and TR2. Compared with the conventional technology, the present disclosure can reduce the number of circuit traces when the touch display device 100 realizes the “touch function”.

Please refer to FIG. 1. In some embodiments, the detection lines TP1 to TP5 are also electrically connected to the power supply circuit 130. The power supply circuit 123 applies the power supply voltage Vcom to the detection lines TP1 to TP5 according to the operating voltage Vt to ensure that all areas on the display panel 120 are covered by the same power Driven by pressure.

Please refer to FIG. 4, which is a schematic diagram of the touch display device 100 according to some embodiments of the present disclosure, in which the same elements as those in FIG. 1 are indicated by the same reference numerals. With reference to Figures 1 and 4, in some embodiments, a plurality of touch units are arranged in an array on the display panel 120, and are classified into a first detection area G1, a second detection area G2, and a second detection area G2. Three detection area G3. The distance between the first detection area G1 and the processing unit 110 is greater than the distance between the second detection area G2 and the processing unit 110. The distance between the second detection area G2 and the processing unit 110 is greater than the distance between the third detection area G3 and the processing unit 110; in the same way, in some embodiments, the detection area can be divided into vertical partitions for detection.

Sc1~Sc3。 In the same way, in some embodiments, the switch circuit is divided into a plurality of switch circuit groups 130G1 to 130G3 according to the touch unit driven by it and the corresponding detection area. The switch circuit groups 130G1~130G3 respectively correspond to different control lines CL1~CL3. The control lines CL1~CL3 can transmit control signals Sc1~Sc3 at the same time, and can also transmit control signals Sc1~Sc3 sequentially.

DL1~DL9。 In some embodiments, the touch display device 100 transmits data signals and detection signals in different time intervals. Please refer to FIG. 5, which is a signal waveform diagram of the touch display device 100 according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. In Figure 5, Sc1~Sc3 are used to represent the control signals transmitted by different control lines CL1~CL3. SG1~SG3 are used to represent the signals received in different detection areas G1~G3, and the signal source can be detection lines TP1~TP5 or data lines DL1~DL9.

As shown in FIG. 5, the processing unit 110 generates a data signal in the display period P1, and generates a detection signal in the detection period P2. Please match it as shown in Figure 2. Take the switch circuit 130A as an example. In the display period P1, the switch circuit 130A is turned off. At this time, the processing unit 110 transmits the first data signal Sd1 to the first pixel circuits 121A-121B through the first pin B1 and the first data line DL. As shown in FIG. 5, in the display period P1, the display panel 120 receives the data voltage through the pixel circuit to present various colors or brightness.

In the detection period P2, the switch circuit 130A is turned on. At this time, the processing unit 110 transmits the first detection signal St1 to the touch unit 122A through the first pin B1 and the detection line TP1. In the detection period P2, the first pin B1 also transmits the first detection signal St1 to the first pixel circuits 121A~121B through the first data line DL, but because the first pixel circuits 121A~121B are not Turn on (for example, the corresponding scan line is not turned on), so the first detection signal St1 will not be written into the first detection signal St1. As shown in FIG. 5, in the detection period P2, the display panel 120 receives the detection signal through the touch unit to detect the current touch operation of the user.

Please refer to FIGS. 1 and 4 together, and the touch display device 100 is explained from another perspective. In some embodiments, the touch display device 100 includes a processing unit 110, a display panel 120, and a plurality of switching circuits (ie, switching circuits 130A to 130E). The processing unit 110 includes a plurality of pins B1 ˜Bn. The pins B1~Bn are output pins of the processing unit 110, which are electrically connected to a plurality of data lines DL1~DL9 and a plurality of detection lines TP1~TP5 for sending a plurality of data signals and a plurality of detection signals.

The display panel 120 includes a plurality of pixel circuits 121A to 121D and a plurality of touch units 122A, 122B...122(n-1), 122n. The pixel circuits 121A to 121D receive the data signals through the data lines DL1 to DL9. The touch units 122A, 122B...122(n-1), 122n receive the detection signals through the detection lines TP1 to TP5. In some embodiments, the pixel circuits 121A to 121D are arranged on the display panel 120 in an array, and each pixel circuit 121A to 121D is used to display a sub-pixel, for example: The pixel circuit 121A displays red, and the pixel circuit 121C displays green.

TP1。 In some embodiments, the number of the pins B1~Bn is greater than or equal to the number of the pixel circuits in the same row on the display panel 120 (ie, the number of sub-pixels in each row) ). As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the number of pins B1 ˜Bn is equal to the number of pixel circuits in the same row on the display panel 120. In other embodiments, the switch circuit 130A includes the pins B1 and B2 and the first switch unit T1, but does not include the second switch unit T2. The pin B1 is electrically connected to one end of the first switch unit T1 and the first data line DL1. The pin B2 is electrically connected to the other end of the first switch unit T1 and the detection line TP1.

The switch circuits 130A~130E are electrically connected to the pins B1~B10 and the detection lines TP1~TP5, and according to the control signal Sc, the pins B1~B10 are connected to the detection lines TP1~TP5 (As shown in Figure 1). In other embodiments, as shown in Figure 4, the switch circuits 130A~130E are classified into different switch circuit groups 130G1~130G3, and the switch circuits in the different switch circuit groups 130G1~130G3 130A~130E are electrically connected to different control lines CL1~CL3 for conducting according to different control signals Sc1~Sc3.

Please refer to FIG. 6, which is a simplified schematic diagram of the touch display device 100 according to some embodiments of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the switch unit 130X is used to transmit the detection signal to the touch unit 122X through the detection line TPX. The switch unit 130Y is used to transmit a detection signal to the touch unit 122Y through the detection line TPY. As shown in FIG. 4, the touch unit 122X is located in the second detection area G2 of the display panel 120, and the touch unit 122Y is located in the first detection area G1 of the display panel 120. Since the touch unit 122Y is far from the processing unit 110, the detection line TPY is also electrically connected to the two driving lines TPY1, TPY2, and then electrically connected to the touch in the first detection area G1 through the driving lines TPY1, TPY2. Control unit 122Y. That is, the touch unit in the first detection area G1 can be electrically connected to the corresponding detection line through two or more driving lines.

In addition, as shown in Figure 1, in some embodiments, a touch unit 122A in the touch display device 100 is electrically connected to at least two switch circuits (such as switch circuits) through detection lines TP1 and TP2. 130A, 130B). In other embodiments, as shown in FIG. 6, the touch unit 122X can be electrically connected to a single switch circuit 130X through only a single detection line TPX. For example, as shown in Figure 4, the touch unit located in the first detection area G1 can be electrically connected to multiple switch circuits, and the touch unit located in the second detection area G2 can be electrically connected to a switch Circuit.

As shown in Figure 1, in the foregoing embodiment, the switching circuits 130A to 130E are overlapped with the processing unit 110 and are arranged in the same area. For example, the switch circuits 130A to 130E are located below the processing unit 110. In other embodiments, the switch circuits 130A to 130E may also be disposed in the fan out area FA of the touch display device 100. Please refer to FIG. 7. In FIG. 7, similar elements related to the embodiment in FIG. 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals for ease of understanding, and the specific principles of similar elements have been described in detail in the previous paragraphs.
