As shown in FIG. 1A, the base unit 100 also includes a base connector 120 for connecting the base unit to the cover unit 200 as will be described in more detail below. The base connector 120 is generally shown in FIG. 1A, but may be presented in any form that allows the cover unit 200 to be connected to the base unit 100. Such forms include recesses for receiving protrusions from the covering unit, protrusions for receiving in corresponding recesses in the covering unit, clamping arrangements, or magnets for attracting and fixing the area of the covering unit. In other specific examples, the base connector is an adhesive, or a loop-hook connector, such as a product sold by Velcro Industries B.V. under the trademark Velcro®. In this specific example, the base connector 120 may be a loop component or a hook component of the connector.

The base unit 100 also includes a base power input terminal 130 for electrically connecting the base unit 100 to a power supply or a commercial power supply. In some countries, commercial power or power supply is provided as an alternating current (AC) of an electrical signal of approximately 240 V (for example, between approximately 220 V and 260 V) and a frequency of approximately 50 Hz. In other countries, the mains or power supply provides an AC signal between approximately 100 V and 130 V. Some systems use a frequency of about 50 Hz, while other systems use a frequency of about 60 Hz. Some power supply systems are single-phase and others can be three-phase. It will be understood that any power that will be considered as power supply or utility power can be used.

200。In some specific examples, the base unit 100 will also include a base power output terminal 150 (see FIG. 1A) to provide output power to the cover unit 200 when the cover unit 200 is connected to the base unit 100.

The base power output terminal 150 can be provided in any suitable manner, including a direct plug/socket configuration with a recess provided in the base unit 100, thereby generating a corresponding conduction to the cover unit power input terminal 210 (see below) The element forms a conductive element that is electrically connected; or can be provided by a radiating element, which transmits power from the base unit 100 to the cover unit 200 through induction or other methods. An example of this specific example is described in more detail below. Any other form of power transmission can also be used.

In some specific examples, the base power output terminal 150 and the base connector 120 may be provided by the same component. In one such specific example, the connection between the cover power input end and the base power output end 150 will also provide sufficient support to fix the cover unit 200 to the base unit 100 without another additional base connector 120 or other Connection configuration.

In some specific examples, the base unit 100 will also include a power converter 140 that converts the supply input power received at the base power input 130 into an output provided by the base power output 150 Power to provide usable power to the covering unit 200 when in use.

In some specific examples, the base power output terminal 150 will be shielded or protected, so that when the base unit 100 is installed, it is not easy for a user to access electrically-live components. In some specific examples, the preset state of the power output terminal of the base is an off state and is electrically isolated from the mains or power supply and/or the output terminal of the power converter 140. In such specific examples, only when the cover unit 200 is in place, the base power socket is electrically connected to the mains or power supply and/or the output end of the power converter 140.

130。2 shows a specific example of the base unit 300 and the cover unit 200 connected together, where the base unit 300 is carried on a surface 40 (for example, a wall), and the mains or source power 50 is connected to the base power input 130.

In other specific examples, the base unit 100 also includes a base switch interface 160 for interfacing with the switch element of the cover unit 200 to allow the base unit 100 to activate the switch on the cover unit 200. FIG. 3 shows a base unit 100 with a base switch interface 160. In some specific examples, the base switch interface 160 is an electrical interface, such as a radio frequency (RF) receiver for receiving RF signals from a switch on the cover unit 200 when activated.
