The method for producing a cross-linked product of carboxymethyl group-containing modified hyaluronic acid and/or a salt of the same uses a condensing agent to crosslink a carboxymethyl group-containing modified hyaluronic acid and/or a salt of the same by ester bonding between hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups on the modified hyaluronic acid and/or the salt of the same.
