Description

Pairing method and electronic device

The present invention relates to a pairing generation method and an electronic device.

With the development of technology and the advancement of the times, mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets have become an indispensable part of people's lives. Depending on the usage habits, a user may have many different mobile devices at the same time. In order to enable the data, files and applications in each device to be easily transmitted or synchronized to other devices, the prior art usually uses an account login or other near-end search for related technologies. However, account login may cause inconvenience or doubt to the user, and near-end exploration pairing may find more than two devices to be paired (for example, multiple Bluetooth devices around) in some situations. In this case, even if the user has placed the two devices to be paired in the vicinity, it is generally not easy for the user to quickly identify the device in the numerous devices in the list, thereby causing difficulty in pairing. Therefore, if the physically closest device can be judged and automatically paired with it, the user can be saved a lot of trouble.

In view of this, the present invention provides a pairing method and an electronic device, which can effectively find a device to be paired physically closest to the electronic device, thereby improving the efficiency in pairing.

The present invention proposes a pairing method suitable for an electronic device. The method includes: generating a pairing list including at least one device to be paired; performing proximity detection to search for at least one neighboring device adjacent to the electronic device; determining whether one of the at least one neighboring device is identical to the at least one device to be paired a first pairing device; when the one of the at least one neighboring device is identical to the first device to be paired, pairing with the first device to be paired.

The invention provides an electronic device comprising a storage unit, a communication unit and a processing unit. A storage unit that stores multiple modules. The processing unit connects the storage unit and the communication unit to access and execute the plurality of modules. The plurality of modules includes a generating module, a searching module, a determining module, and a pairing module. The generating module generates a pairing list including at least one device to be paired. The search module performs proximity detection to search for at least one neighboring device adjacent to the electronic device. The determining module determines whether one of the at least one neighboring device is identical to the first paired device in the at least one paired device. When the one of the at least one neighboring device is identical to the first device to be paired, the pairing module is paired with the first paired device to be paired.

In this embodiment, the processing unit 116 can access the search module 112_1, the scan module 112_2, the transmission module 112_3, and the generation module 112_4 stored in the storage unit 112 to execute the pairing list generation method proposed by the present invention.

2 is a flow chart of a method for generating a pairing list according to an embodiment of the invention. The method proposed in this embodiment can be performed by the electronic device 100 of FIG. 1, and the detailed steps of the method are described below with the respective components of FIG.

In step S210, the search module 112_1 can search for at least one first device that belongs to the first subnet with the electronic device 100, and accordingly generates a first list. In an embodiment, the first subnet is, for example, a regional network provided by the first access point, and the different subnets are, for example, regional networks provided by different access points. In this case, the search module 112_1 may perform, for example, mDNS, SSDP, or other similar communication protocol to discover or find other first devices that are also served by the first access point. Then, the search module 112_1 may merge the first devices that are explored into the first list. In an embodiment, the first list may record various identification information of each first device, such as an entity identification, an Internet Protocol (IP) address, a unique identifier (for example, It is a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) or the like, but is not limited thereto.

In addition, in other embodiments, the electronic device 100 may perform step S210 only after being controlled by the user to enter a paired page, but the present invention may be implemented. The method is not limited to this.

In step S220, the scanning module 112_2 may scan at least one access point in the vicinity of the electronic device, and accordingly generate a first access point list. In an embodiment, the first access point list may record various identification information of each access point, such as a Service Set Identifier (SSID) and a Basic Service Set Identifier (Basic Service Set Identifier, BSSID), etc., but is not limited to this.

In step S230, the transmission module 112_3 may upload the first access point list to the server, and receive the second list returned by the server. The server is, for example, a data center, a cloud server, or other similar servo device and servo system installed in a cloud network. In an embodiment, the server may receive a list of access points uploaded by other devices in addition to the first access point list from the electronic device 100. Then, the server may find a list of access points that are similar to the first access point list from the list of access points uploaded by other devices, and merge the corresponding devices into the second list. For convenience of explanation, the device included in the second list will hereinafter be referred to as a second device.

In an embodiment, the server may separately calculate the similarity between the list of access points uploaded by other devices and the first access point list. When an access point list having a similarity with the first access point list is higher than a preset threshold (for example, 50%), the server may define the device corresponding to the access point list as the second device. And included in the second list.

100。 In detail, when two distinct devices have similar access point lists, it means that the two devices are very close to each other. That is to say, the transmission module 112_3 The devices (ie, the respective second devices) that are physically similar (eg, on the same floor) to the electronic device 100 can be located based on the second list of server backhauls. Moreover, even if some of the second devices and the electronic device 100 belong to different subnets, the server can find the second devices based on the above teachings and notify the electronic device 100 through the second list.

Thereafter, in step S240, the generating module 112_4 may combine the first list and the second list to generate a pairing list including at least one device to be paired. Specifically, since each first device in the first list may overlap with each second device in the second list, the generating module 112_4 may prevent the repeated devices to be paired from appearing in the pairing list through step S240.

In short, in addition to the first devices that belong to the same subnet, the electronic device 100 can know the second devices that are physically similar to each other through the second list. (Even though some of the second devices may belong to different subnets from the electronic device 100, respectively). From another point of view, when the user wants to pair the electronic device 100 owned by the user with another device (for example, a notebook computer), the method proposed by the embodiment of the present invention can make the electronic device 100 have a higher Opportunity to include this notebook as a paired device in the resulting pairing list, which facilitates subsequent pairing operations.

In other embodiments, since the pairing list may include a large number of devices to be paired, the present invention may further find the closest to the paired devices by using a high-frequency sound propagation technology (SoundTrigger) (for example, located in The same room or compartment) the device to be paired with the electronic device 100, thereby improving the subsequent pairing operation effectiveness. Further explanation will be provided below.

Please refer to FIG. 3. FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of a pairing operation according to an embodiment of the invention. The method proposed in this embodiment can be performed by the electronic device 100 of FIG. 1, and the detailed steps of the method are described below with the respective components of FIG. For details of the steps S310 to S316, refer to the related description of the steps S210 to S240 in FIG. 2, and details are not described herein again. In an embodiment, the electronic device 100 may further include a speaker 118, and the storage unit 112 may further include a pairing module 112_5 for performing steps S318 to S332, which are specifically described below.

In step S318, the pairing module 112_5 can control the speaker 118 to send a voice message, and determine whether at least one third device responds to the voice message. In one embodiment, the voice message is, for example, a high frequency voice signal that is encoded by the pairing module 112_5 to encode identification information (eg, a physical identification code) of the electronic device 100. The frequency of the high frequency sound message is, for example, a frequency that the human ear cannot perceive (for example, 25,000 Hz), and the transmission range thereof is, for example, 0.5 to 1 meter, but the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto.

In this embodiment, the at least one third device is, for example, a device that the user wants to pair with the electronic device 100, and can listen to the sound message from the speaker 118 through the microphone device. When the at least one third device hears the voice message, it can obtain the identity information of the electronic device 100 therefrom, and send the response to the electronic device 100, for example, through a network or the server. In an embodiment, when the user wants to pair the electronic device 100 and the at least one third device, the user can switch the two to the pairing page individually. When the at least one third device is in the pairing page In this case, the microphone device can be turned on to listen to the above-mentioned voice message, but the embodiment of the present invention is not limited thereto.

Since the transmission distance of the voice message is short, if the electronic device 100 receives the response of the at least one third device to the voice message, it means that the distance between the two devices is relatively close, so that it is likely to be the target to be paired with each other. . Therefore, in step S320, the pairing module 112_5 can determine whether the number of at least one third device is 1. If so, the third device is the target to be paired by the electronic device 100. Therefore, the pairing module 112_5 can further define at least one third device as the selected first device to be paired in step S322.

On the other hand, if the number of the at least one third device is not 1, that is, there are multiple possible pairing targets in the vicinity, the pairing module 112_5 may display a pairing list including at least one device to be paired in step S324. In order for the user to select the correct device to be paired. In addition, when the matching module 112_5 does not receive any response in step S318, it may continue to perform step S324 to allow the user to select the correct device to be paired.

S330。 Then, in step S326, when the first to-be-paired device of the plurality of devices to be paired is selected, the pairing module 112_5 may determine whether the first device to be paired belongs to the first subnet. If so, the pairing module 112_5 can control the communication unit 114 to send the pairing request to the first paired device in step S330, and wait for the pairing response of the first pairing device for the pairing request. On the other hand, if the first device to be paired does not belong to the first subnet, the pairing module 112_5 may control the communication unit 114 to switch to the second subnet to which the first device to be paired belongs in step S328, and then proceed to the step. S330.

Next, in step S332, when the pairing response indicates that the first to-be-matched device agrees to the pairing request, the pairing module 112_5 may pair with the first paired device.

As can be seen from the teachings of the above embodiments, the method provided by the embodiment of the present invention allows a user to easily perform pairing between two devices without registering or logging in to an account. Moreover, through the mechanism taught in the previous embodiment, even if the two devices belong to different subnets, the method proposed by the embodiment of the present invention can smoothly find out the other party and complete pairing with each other.

In other embodiments, the present invention can intelligently filter out the paired devices that are closer to the electronic device from the pairing list through an additional mechanism, thereby improving the efficiency of the pairing.

Please refer to FIG. 4. FIG. 4 is a schematic diagram of an electronic device according to an embodiment of the invention. In the embodiment, the electronic device 400 includes a storage unit 412, a communication unit 414, a processing unit 416, and a speaker 418. For various possible implementations of the electronic device 400 and the components it includes, reference may be made to the related description in FIG. 1 , and details are not described herein again. The processing unit 416 can access the generating module 412_1, the searching module 412_2, the determining module 412_3, and the pairing module 412_4 in the storage unit 412 to perform the improved pairing list method proposed by the present invention.

FIG. 5 is a pairing method according to an embodiment of the invention. The method proposed in this embodiment can be performed by the electronic device 400 of FIG. 4, and the detailed steps of the method are described below with the respective components of FIG.

In step S510, the generating module 412_1 may generate at least one to be matched. A paired list of devices. In an embodiment, the pairing list is, for example, a pairing list generated in accordance with the related teachings of FIGS. 2 and 3. In other embodiments, the pairing list may also be a list of devices to be paired that are generated by the generating module 412_1, such as Bluetooth discovery and Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). However, the embodiments of the present invention are not limited thereto.

Next, in step S520, the search module 412_2 may perform proximity detection to search for at least one neighboring device adjacent to the electronic device 400. The proximity detection includes, for example, Bluetooth 4.0 and high frequency sound propagation technology, but is not limited thereto. Specifically, the search module 412_2 can detect the distance between the electronic device 400 and its neighbors based on the proximity profile in the Bluetooth 4.0 specification, thereby finding the nearest device that is closest to the electronic device 400. . In addition, the search module 412_2 can also control the speaker 418 to emit the voice message (for example, a short-range high-frequency voice message having a frequency that is undetectable by the human ear) as taught in the previous embodiment. As taught in the previous embodiments, when a neighboring device that can receive a voice message is on a pairing page, it can correspondingly transmit a response to the electronic device 400. For specific details, refer to the teachings of the previous embodiments, and details are not described herein again.

In step S530, the determining module 412_3 can determine whether one of the at least one neighboring devices is identical to the first pairing device in the at least one paired device. One of the at least one neighboring device is, for example, the closest device closest to the electronic device 400, but is not limited thereto. In this embodiment, if one of the at least one neighboring device is the same as the first device to be paired in the at least one device to be paired, this means that the first device to be paired is the electronic device 400. Want to match The device, so the pairing module 412_4 can be paired with the first paired device in step S540. For details of the step S540, reference may be made to the teachings in the embodiment of FIG. 3, and details are not described herein again.

On the other hand, if at least one of the neighboring devices is completely different from the at least one device to be paired, the pairing module 412_4 may display a pairing list including at least one device to be paired in step S550 for the user to select the device to be paired to be paired. . Then, in step S560, when one of the at least one paired device is selected, the pairing module 412_4 can be paired with one of the at least one device to be paired. Similarly, the specific matching details can still refer to the teachings in the embodiment of FIG. 3, and details are not described herein again.

In summary, the method for improving the pairing list proposed by the embodiment of the present invention may find a neighboring device adjacent to the electronic device based on the method of proximity detection, and determine whether there is a device to be paired in the pairing list that is the same as a neighboring device. . If so, this means that the device to be paired is the device to be paired with the electronic device, and the electronic device can be paired with the device to be paired. In this way, the steps and time for implementing pairing between devices can be saved, thereby improving the efficiency of pairing.

Although the present invention has been disclosed in the above embodiments, it is not intended to limit the present invention, and any one of ordinary skill in the art can make some changes and refinements without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. The scope of the invention is defined by the scope of the appended claims.
