Abstract

An optical module including a light source, a light collecting member and a wavelength converting unit is provided. The light collecting member is disposed at a light path of the light emitted from the light source and includes a light incident surface and a light emitting surface. An area of the light incident surface is less than or equal to that of the light emitting surface. Light emitted from the light source enters and leaves the light collecting member by the first zone of the light incident surface. The wavelength converting unit is disposed at the first zone of the light emitting surface, and a contact area between the wavelength converting unit and the light emitting surface is substantially equal to an area of the first zone. Light leaves the first zone and, then enters the wavelength converting unit.
