Abstract
The present invention provides a dynamic overcurrent protection method for a lithium battery. The method including following steps: selecting a monotonically decreasing straight line or any smooth curve that between set minimum and maximum overcurrent protection points as a relationship curve between an overcurrent protection time delay and an overcurrent protection threshold voltage; for any overcurrent threshold voltage value, its corresponding overcurrent protection time delay value is instant obtained by the relationship curve of above two; wherein, an overcurrent protection threshold voltage value is the lowest and the overcurrent protection time delay is longest at the minimum overcurrent protection point; an overcurrent protection threshold voltage value is the highest and the overcurrent protection time delay is shortest at the maximum overcurrent protection point. The present invention solves security risks caused by the lithium battery products in practical applications from overcurrent charge and overcurrent discharge, to enhance product stability and security.
