Abstract

This invention is a heat exchange system with automatic defrost function. A temperature sensor is installed at an evaporator and is electrically connected to a control circuit. The temperature sensor outputs a corresponding current signal to the control circuit according to the detected temperature. The control circuit determines if frosting has taken place at the evaporator; furthermore, the control circuit controls an electronic expansion valve to open wider without shutting down the compressor and enables a flow control device to suspend operation temporarily. This design increases the temperature of a refrigerant which passes through the evaporator. Rapid heat exchange causes frost to melt via high temperature refrigerant which enters the evaporator for heat exchange in order achieve the goal of auto defrost.
