The invention relates to a chassis.

The rear window bracket of the conventional electronic device (such as a server) is often provided with a plurality of I/O slots to fit the expansion card. When the expansion card is not installed, the I/O cover and other closures are locked to the rear window bracket by screws to block the slots. However, installing these I/O blanks is very inconvenient.

In view of the above, it is necessary to provide a chassis that facilitates the mounting of the closure.

A chassis includes an end wall and a closure member, the end wall defines a slot, and the closure member is rotatably mounted to the end wall to close the slot.

Compared with the prior art, the enclosure of the casing can be rotatably mounted on the end wall for convenient installation.

Referring to FIGS. 1 through 3, a preferred embodiment of the chassis of the present invention includes an end wall 20 and a closure member 40.

The end wall 20 is recessed inwardly to form a recess 21. The recess 21 includes a bottom wall 210 and a sidewall 212 perpendicular to the bottom wall 210. The bottom wall 210 defines a rectangular long slot 24 in a direction perpendicular to the side wall 212 for the connector of the expansion card to pass through. The side wall 212 opens corresponding to the opening 26 of the long groove 24 corresponding to the long groove 24. A fixing piece 28 is vertically protruded from the bottom wall 210 on one side of one end of the long groove 24 away from the opening 26 . The two fixing pieces 28 respectively define a pivot hole 280.

The closure member 40 includes a rectangular body 42 and two elastic pieces 44 respectively disposed on two sides of the body 42 and a stopper piece 46 extending from the two ends of the body 42 toward the two elastic pieces 44 and a positioning Slice 48. A pivot 480 is respectively protruded from the two ends of the positioning piece 48 adjacent to the body 42.

Referring to FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 , the elastic piece 44 of the closing member 40 faces the end wall 20 , and the two pivots 480 of the closing member 40 are rotatably inserted into the pivot holes 280 of the two fixing pieces 28 respectively. The closure member 40 is rotatably mounted to the end wall 20.

When the long slot 24 needs to be opened to fit an expansion card (not shown), the positioning piece 48 of the closure member 40 abuts the outer side of the end wall 20. When the expansion card is not required to be fixed, the closure member 40 is rotated toward the end wall 20. The two elastic pieces 44 of the closure member 40 are elastically deformed into the corresponding long grooves 24 and respectively abut against the opposite side edges of the long groove 24. At the same time, the stop tab 46 snaps into the corresponding opening 26, thereby closing the slot 24 with the closure member 40.

Claims (5)

A chassis includes an end wall and a closure member, the end wall defines a slot, and the closure member is rotatably mounted to the end wall to close the slot. The chassis of claim 1, wherein the outer side of the end wall has a fixing piece at one of the two sides of the slot, the closing part comprises a body, and one of the two sides of the body is respectively convex. Two pivots are provided, and the two pivots are rotatably inserted into the two fixing pieces, respectively.
