1 and 2 illustrate schematic isometric views of one embodiment of a sole system 100. For purposes of illustration, the sole system 100 is shown spaced apart from other components of a shoe article. However, it should be appreciated that the sole system 100 can be utilized as a sole for a variety of different types of shoes, including but not limited to: hiking shoes, soccer shoes, American football shoes, athletic shoes, running shoes, cross training shoes, football Shoes, basketball shoes, baseball shoes, and other types of shoes. Moreover, in some embodiments, sole system 100 can be configured for use with a variety of non-sports related shoes, including but not limited to: slippers, sandals, high heels, loafers, and other types of shoes.

14。 Referring to Figure 1, the sole system 100 can be divided into a forefoot portion 10 for purposes of reference. The midfoot portion 12, and the heel portion 14. The forefoot portion 10 is generally associated with the toes and the joints connecting the tibia to the phalanges. The midfoot portion 12 is generally associated with an arch of one foot. Likewise, the heel portion 14 can generally be associated with a heel that includes one of the calcaneus. Additionally, sole system 100 can include an outer side 16 and an inner side 18. In particular, the outer side 16 and the inner side 18 can be on opposite sides of the sole system 100. In addition, the outer side 16 and the inner side 18 extend through the forefoot portion 10, the midfoot portion 12, and the heel portion 14.

It should be understood that the forefoot portion 10, the midfoot portion 12, and the heel portion 14 are only intended for purposes of description and are not intended to delineate the precise regions of the sole system 100. Similarly, the outer side 16 and the inner side 18 are intended to generally represent the sides of an article rather than accurately demarcating the sole system 100 into two halves.

For the sake of consistency and convenience, directional adjectives are employed throughout this detailed description corresponding to the illustrated embodiments. The term "longitudinal" as used throughout this detailed description and in the context of the patent application refers to extending one of the lengths of one of the sole systems. In some cases, the longitudinal direction may extend from one of the forefoot portions of the sole system to a heel portion. Furthermore, the term "lateral" as used throughout this detailed description and in the context of the patent application refers to the direction extending along one of the widths of one of the sole systems. In other words, the lateral direction may extend between one of the insides and the outside of the sole system. Moreover, the term "vertical" as used throughout this detailed description and in the context of the patent application refers to a direction that is substantially perpendicular to one of the lateral and longitudinal directions. For example, in the case where one of the sole systems is placed flat on a surface of the ground, the vertical direction may extend upward from the ground surface. In addition, the term "proximal" refers to a portion of the sole system that is closer to one of the portions of the foot when a piece of footwear is worn. Similarly, the term "tip end" refers to a portion of the sole system that is one of the portions of the shoe that is farther away from one of the feet when worn. It will be appreciated that each of these directional adjectives can be used to describe individual components of a sole system, such as an outsole member, a midsole member, a bladder member, and possibly other components of a sole system.

The sole system provides a variety of functions to an associated shoe item. In some embodiments The sole system 100 can be configured to provide attachment to the article 100. In addition to providing attachment, the sole system 100 can attenuate ground reaction forces when compressed between the foot and the ground during walking, running, or other walking activities. In various embodiments, the configuration of sole system 100 can vary significantly to include a variety of conventional or non-conventional structures. In some cases, the configuration of the sole system 100 can be configured in accordance with one or more types of ground surfaces on which the sole system 100 can be used. Examples of ground surfaces include, but are not limited to, natural turf, synthetic turf, earth, and other surfaces.

The sole system 100 can be secured to an upper when part of a shoe item; and the sole system 100 can extend between the foot and the ground when the item is worn. In various embodiments, sole system 100 can include different components. For example, sole system 100 can include an outsole, a midsole, and/or an insole. In some cases, one or more of these components may be optional. Some components of one exemplary embodiment of sole system 100 are discussed below.

FIG. 3 illustrates a schematic side view of one of the sole systems 100. Although FIG. 3 illustrates one of the outer sides 16 of the sole system 100, it should be understood that the inner side 18 may be substantially similar to the outer side 16 in some embodiments. Moreover, each component can include a portion that provides a transition between the first color 101 and the second color 103. In some embodiments, a third outsole portion 145 of the outsole member 140 extends between the first outsole portion 141 and the second outsole portion 143 and can be included between the first color 101 and the second color 103 Smoothly transform one or more colors (including color arrangements or gradients). In a similar manner, one of the bladder members 160 extends between the first bladder portion 161 and the second bladder portion 163 and may include one of a smooth transition between the first color 101 and the second color 103 or A variety of colors. In a similar manner, one of the midsole members 180 has a third midsole portion 185 extending between the first midsole portion 181 and the second midsole portion 183 and can include smoothing between the first color 101 and the second color 103 Change one or more colors. In some embodiments, the third outsole portion 145, the third pocket portion 165, and the third midsole portion 185 comprise a mixture of the first color 101 and the second color 103.

Embodiments may use different color supplies to provide color on different components or components of sole system 100. For example, some components or components of sole system 100 may use a dye that is bonded to the surface of a substrate material. Other components or components may include a coating, film, or other color layer (eg, pigment, color film, colored resin, etc.) overlying a substrate material to provide color. Other embodiments may use materials having a predetermined color.

FIG. 9 illustrates a schematic isometric view of one of the embodiments of the sole member 100, including an enlarged cross-sectional view of one of the portions of the sole system 100. Referring to Figure 9, each of the outsole member 140, the bladder member 160, and the midsole member 180 can be associated with a different type of color supply. As previously discussed, the outsole member 140 can comprise a substantially monolithic material such as rubber. In some embodiments, the color of the outsole member 140 can be determined by the color of the material used to form the outsole member 140. In some embodiments, a transparent material, such as a clear rubber, may be mixed with a colorant to create a colored rubber outsole during the molding process. Thus, in some embodiments, the color of portions of the outsole member 140 can be determined during the molding or forming process. In these embodiments, no additional will be made after molding or forming the program A coating, film or surface layer is added to the outsole member 140 to provide color.

As described above, the balloon member 160 can be colored using one or more dyes. In some embodiments, the dye used to color the bladder member 160 can be joined directly to the outer barrier layer 162. Details of possible methods for staining the capsule member 160 are discussed in more detail below.

In some embodiments, to provide color to the midsole member 180, an outer coating of one of a pigment or other colorant can be used. In this exemplary embodiment, the midsole member 180 is shown to provide a core 902 and an outer coating 904 in one of the desired colors. In some embodiments, for example, inner core 902 can comprise a foam material and outer coating 904 can be a pigment coating.

Some embodiments may also include matching one or more of the insert members to a supply of a capsule member. For example, as seen in FIGS. 5 and 6, first insert member 520 and second insert member 522 can have a color substantially similar to one of heel portion 14 of bladder member 160. However, in other embodiments, the first insert member 520 and/or the second insert member 522 can have any type of color. By varying the color of the first insertion member 520 and/or the second insertion member 522, the color of the interior portion of the balloon member 160 can be varied. For example, in some embodiments, the first insert member 520 and the second insert member 522 are partially visible from the interior of one of the bladder members 160. Thus, changing the color of the first insert member 520 and/or the second insert member 522 can result in a change in color that is visible from within the bladder member 160 (ie, visible through the outer barrier layer 162).

1003。 Figure 10 illustrates a schematic diagram of one of the procedures for staining a capsule member in accordance with an embodiment. In this embodiment, a capsule member 1002 includes a front end portion 1010 and a rear end portion 1012. The rear end portion 1012 has been dyed by dipping the bladder member 1002 into one of the first dye cylinders 1022 filled with a first dye 1032 for a predetermined period of time. Therefore, the rear end portion 1012 is colored with a first color 1001. After this step, the front end portion 1010 is dyed a second color 1003 by dipping the front end portion 1010 of the capsule member 1002 into a second dye cylinder 1020 filled with a second dye 1030 for a predetermined period of time.

Embodiments A variety of different methods, procedures, and systems can be used to stain a balloon member or any other component of a sole system. The embodiments may use any of the methods, procedures, systems, and dyeing materials disclosed in the following documents: U.S. Patent No. 7,611,547, filed on December 3, 2009, to the name of the "Airbag Dyeing Compositions and Processes" And U.S. Patent Application Publication No. ______, filed on March 8, 2013, and entitled "System and Method for Coloring Articles", U.S. Patent Application No. _____ (Attorney Profile No. 51) -3252), the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.

The use of portions of the dyeing capsule member 160 can help maintain the integrity of the colored portions visible through openings in the outsole member 140, such as the plurality of slots 149. In particular, the color provided by the dye can be more resistant to abrasion than pigments or other coatings, particularly where the bladder member 160 is exposed through a plurality of slots 149 to a surface of the ground.

Various methods for forming an outsole member of a different color can be used. In some embodiments, an outsole member can be formed by molding one or more preformed blanks. To produce an outsole member having two different colors, different portions of the blank can be used to form different portions. Further, in some embodiments, two different colorants can be added to the molding material to form a portion having a predetermined color during the molding process. Furthermore, to form a portion having a color arrangement (including a color arrangement that transitions between two portions of different colors), a plurality of smaller blanks may be placed side by side, or stacked to achieve a desired color gradient.

To achieve different visual effects, an outsole member can be made of materials having different transparency. In some embodiments, a portion of an outsole member can be made from a substantially transparent one of the rubber. In other embodiments, a portion of an outsole member can be made from a substantially translucent one of the rubber. In other embodiments, a portion of an outsole member can be made from a substantially opaque rubber. In addition, both the translucent and opaque portions can be colored to achieve the desired multi-color visual effects described above.

1303。 Embodiments may have different color systems, including between two and more colors Change the color and the color of the sudden change. 11 and 12 illustrate a schematic view of another embodiment of a sole system 1100 including an outsole member 1140, a bladder member 1160, and a midsole member 1180.
