The following embodiments describe a remote control system. Although the embodiments and the drawings of the present invention mainly illustrate the contents of the steering wheel, the described content is an implementation manner and is not a limitation of the present invention. Embodiments of the present invention can be applied to a variety of different forms of remote control systems to those of ordinary skill in the art to which the present invention pertains.
The present invention relates to a device in the field of automobiles, boats, recreational vehicles, and related machinery, and is capable of manipulating the above-described vehicles through a steering wheel. In one embodiment, a touch-type remote control panel is disclosed, which can be placed on the steering wheel via a cover or decorative add-on and/or a liquid crystal display unit, and can be used to capture the position, movement and fingers of the driver's hand. Touch. In another embodiment, the steering wheel can also be combined into a single component. These touches or movements will be analyzed or processed and used to remotely control other devices, such as cell phones, media players or smart accessories. In addition, visual feedback can be provided to the driver through the LCD display, allowing the driver to interact with the secure multimedia device and obtain relevant information via the Internet, mobile phone or vehicle.
Please refer to FIG. 1 , which is a front view of an embodiment of a steering wheel having a touch sensing board and a display unit according to the present invention. The figure is a front side steering wheel 10 including a liquid crystal display unit 11 and a touch sensing board 12 for sensing a finger. The touch sensing plate can be placed in the area 13 and the user's thumb or other fingers can easily move or naturally oscillate on the area 13. The touchpad is ergonomically designed and can be easily slid along the finger when placed on the steering wheel. In an embodiment of the invention, the touch panel 12 is located at the top of the steering wheel and is disposed radially or at an angle. The touch panel 14 at the bottom of the steering wheel can be axial and disposed along the steering wheel. The touchpad may or may not be exposed to the surface of the steering wheel. Even if the touch panel is not exposed to the outside, the position of the touch panel can be marked or decorated to improve the convenience of use.
Please refer to FIG. 2 , which is a schematic diagram of a rear side structure of an embodiment of a steering wheel with a touch sensing plate according to the present invention, and the touch sensing plate is located at the driver's hand. The rear side steering wheel 20 includes a plurality of evenly distributed touch sensing plates 21 for sensing the hand position on the steering wheel. The rear side touch sensing board is mainly used to integrate the process of recognizing a finger gesture and trigger a sliding touch panel at the hand position.
The touch panel, the trackpad or the touch sensing unit is a pointing device with tactile sensing function, and can convert the action and position of the user's finger to the relative position of the screen or other devices. The touchpad can be constructed in a number of ways, including a capacitive sensing unit, a conductive sensing unit, or other similar device.
There are some examples of the formation of a touch panel, which can be implemented by a person having ordinary skill in the art by implementing a touch panel. Arranged in a matrix manner, the continuous conductors are arranged in a series of parallel lines on two layers, and the two layers of the conductors are separated by an insulating unit, wherein the two layers of the conductors are perpendicular The ways are intertwined and form a mesh structure. A continuous high frequency signal can be provided to a pair of two dimensional mesh array configurations, and the current flowing between the two nodes tends to be proportional to the capacitance. When a virtual ground, such as a finger, is placed at one of the intersections between the conductive layers, a portion of the electric field is shunted to ground and causes a significant change in the capacitance at that location. In the capacitive shunt method, the sensing of the action can be performed mainly by sensing the change in the capacitance value between the transmitting end and the receiving end at the relative position.
The touch panels shown in Figures 1 and 2 can be placed in the inner layer of the steering wheel of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM, Original Equipment Manufacturer) through the technology of multi-layer capacitive touch film, for example, screen printing or capacitive The touch technology is placed on a flexible circuit board and used in conjunction with a cover or decorative panel.
Please refer to FIG. 3, which is a cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of a steering wheel provided with a printed circuit board or an equivalent printed circuit board. The touch panel is disposed on the steering wheel 30, wherein the cover of the steering wheel can be designed in a plurality of layers and can cover the entire or most of the steering wheel body 31. In one embodiment, the embedded structure 30 can be a three-layer construction to provide durability, comfort, and durability. The upper layer 34 of the steering wheel cover can be made of plastic material, leather, rubber or cloth. The second layer can be a flexible printed circuit board 33 or film and includes a touch sensitive panel and its attached rigid, flexible printed circuit board 35 or other equivalent components. The insulating adhesive layer 32 can be used to isolate the contact of the cover and the steering wheel center portion 31. The film or flexible circuit layer 33 can surround the wheel body or be located in the front or back layer of the wheel body and can be used to carry the touch sensing panel of the present invention. In this embodiment, the power supply circuit 36 and the wireless circuit 37 may be disposed. However, in different embodiments, the power supply circuit 36 and the wireless circuit 37 may not be provided for remote operation, but the circuit of the steering wheel may be directly connected by a physical line.
In various embodiments, the touch panel can be embedded in the cover 30, wherein the cover 30 is disposed on the steering wheel 31. The steering wheel cover can be designed in a plurality of layers and completely enclose the steering wheel body 31. For example, the cover 30 can be provided in three layers to provide durability, comfort and durability. The upper cover 34 of the steering wheel cover may be microfiber, memory sponge, leather, rubber or cloth. The second layer can use a flexible circuit board 33 and includes a touch sensing board that is electrically connected to a hard or flexible circuit board 35. A plastic liner or barrier layer 32 of viscous material prevents the cover from sliding or dislodging relative to the steering wheel. The flexible circuit board layer 33 can surround the wheel body or be located in the front or rear layer of the wheel body and can be used to carry the touch sensing board of the present invention. The circuitry of the battery or solar panel 36 can be embedded in the rear or top of the steering wheel cover and can be used to power the circuit board 35. In addition, the wireless transmission interface 37 can be used to connect the remote controller to other devices. The RF connection interface 37 can be disposed on the circuit board 35 and connected to a base station of a smart phone or a media center.
Referring to FIG. 4, a schematic diagram of a cigarette lighter or power outlet media center unit 40 can be inserted via the power connection portion 44 of the present invention. The media center 40 can be plugged into a cigarette lighter to obtain power, or directly connected to a vehicle radio (radio) or line (terminal) for power or audio signals. The media center 40 can also be provided with LEDs or other equivalent display units 41, buttons 42 and USB plugs or sockets 43. In this embodiment, the connecting portion 43 can be a USB connecting portion. However, in different embodiments, the connecting portion can also be a device equal to the USB connecting portion, including various serial or parallel interfaces. USB 43 can be used to charge the phone and/or play multimedia.
The media center 40 can be provided with an internal FM radio connection (not shown) that is internally connected to the car's radio (not shown), thereby providing an audio signal through the FM radio tuning audio circuit. The media center can directly connect the radio line (terminal) via FM/AM regulator and/or line to send audio signals to the vehicle's speakers. The Media Center can be paired with a smartphone and automatically search for FM stations when the radio is turned on.
The media center can also be wirelessly connected to the steering wheel remote control, for example using pairs of receivers and transmitters (not shown), industrial technology medical band interfaces using low power short distances or other equivalent devices.
Media centers can also be paired with smart phones, such as pairing and connecting via USB serial interconnects and/or wireless Bluetooth connectivity.
The button 42 provides a function of pressing and holding, for example, pressing a button to switch the function, and pressing to agree is an instruction. Use a uniform sequence of instructions or multiple buttons, toggles, dials, or other devices.
Please refer to FIG. 5 , which is a schematic structural view of a steering wheel upper cover 50 provided with an LCD display unit (or other equal device) 51 and a touch sensing unit 52 according to the present invention. A detachable remote control unit can be used as a partially or decorative steering wheel cover 50 and can be placed over the existing steering wheel or the top of the steering wheel by clamping or other retraction. In one embodiment, the cover 50 can be fabricated as a plastic trim, and the cover is provided with an LED display unit 51 and a plurality of, for example, four or more touch sensing strips 52.
The interior of the decorative cover 50 may include a battery and a circuit board, wherein the battery and/or the circuit board may be located on the rear side of the cover and located behind the LCD display unit shown in FIG. In another embodiment, if the cover is not used in conjunction with a media center (such as FIG. 4, FIG. 4), it may include a microphone, a speaker, and a stand-alone computer free interface, and may be compatible with a smart phone or other portable type. Device connection.
Please refer to FIG. 6 , which is a schematic structural view of a steering wheel having a control device and a complete cover 60 according to the present invention. The cover plate 60 may include, for example, three liquid crystal display units 61 and a touch sensing unit 62 disposed on the circumference of the steering wheel.
The steering wheel remote control can be provided with a plurality of display units 61, such as three display units as shown. In the embodiment, three display units 61 are disposed on the steering wheel cover 60, and the angle between the display units is about 120 degrees. During the process of turning the steering wheel, one of the display units is located above the steering wheel. It is located on the driver's line of sight.
In an embodiment, the touch sensing strips 62 can be disposed in seven regions, and each region has a set of three sensing plates and can be used to sense the forward or backward sliding of the fingers. In different embodiments, more sensing boards can also be provided.
Please refer to FIG. 7 for a schematic diagram of the driver crossing the touch panel 72 and performing a touch and slide action 71. The position or geometry of the sliding plate is designed to conform to the ergonomics of most finger positions 70, and the touch sensing strips on the steering wheel can be designed to have different angles and positions depending on the advantages.
The appropriate touchpad can be selected based on the level of control and the various captured fingers and gestures. For example, when it is desired to sense an action of zooming in or out, it may be necessary to increase the number of horizontal or vertical sensing plates, and replace the simple slider with two or more touch pad patterns.
Please refer to FIG. 8 , which is a schematic structural diagram of another embodiment of a remote controller that can be connected to the smart phone 80 . As shown, a plurality of layers of touchpad patterns 82 can be used to analyze two finger touches, similar actions, or a greater number of finger gestures, and through an analysis unit (not shown) and/or in the handset. The application analyzes. The remote controller 80 can be designed like a hand cover, can be clamped to an existing steering wheel, and can be removed when the vehicle is replaced, to improve the range and convenience of the remote controller.
Please refer to Figure 9 for a cross-sectional view of a remote control that can be connected to a smart phone and a radio via a wireless signal. The figure 90 shows a plurality of layers of the decorative cover 94 including a front side display unit 98, a flexible multilayer circuit board 93, and an adhesive fixing pad 92, wherein the adhesive fixing pad 92 is disposed around the steering wheel 91. The circuit controller or analysis unit is disposed on a hard or flexible circuit board 95, wherein the circuit board 95 further includes a wireless transmission interface 97 and a power supply unit or battery 96.
Referring to Figure 10, there is shown a schematic view of the construction of various forms of touch panels and can be utilized in various embodiments of the present invention. The flexible circuit board (such as 33 of FIG. 3 and 93 of FIG. 9) is a multilayer film or printed circuit board construction, and various types of touch panels described in the present embodiment or related thereto may be disposed thereon. The most basic configuration is a two-layer button 105 configuration that can be triggered after a touch action. There are a number of different types of button structures, including a centerline, a round button, or a button 105 with a slider 106. The circuit may be provided with only a slider structure 101 for recording the action of the finger, and the slider structure may comprise plates of various geometric shapes and appearances such as 101/102/103. The touch sensing layer can utilize the touch pad 104/107 of the cross layer of the capacitive touch pad to sense the motion of the two fingers for zooming in, zooming in, dragging in or dragging out.
Referring to Fig. 11, there is shown a schematic configuration of a further embodiment of a remote controller 110 designed to hold a steering wheel. The front side of the remote controller is provided with a display unit 111 and a microphone 112, and the touch panel 113 is disposed on both sides of the screen, and the battery can be charged by the battery opening 114.
Please refer to Fig. 12, which is a schematic view of the rear side of the remote controller shown in Fig. 11. The remote controller 120 is a rear view of (as shown in FIG. 11), and the remote controller is stably disposed on the steering wheel through the central clamping portion 121 and the side clamping portion 122. The battery can be accessed and used by the battery opening 123.
Please refer to FIG. 13 , which is a schematic structural view of another embodiment of the present invention. A solar panel 131 is disposed in the remote controller 130. A sensing plate (not shown) is disposed at the upper right side 132 and the upper left side 133, and is located below the cover of the plastic (or its equivalent), wherein the plastic cover forms an accommodation space of the remote controller 130. A liquid crystal screen (or its equivalent) 134, a microphone 135 and a button 136, a switching unit or the like are disposed in front. The solar panel 131 can provide energy directly or can charge an internal battery (not shown). The display unit 134 can transmit information to the driver, and the driver can input signals through the button and the sensing board.
Please refer to Fig. 14, which is a schematic structural view of the rear side and the bottom of the remote controller shown in Fig. 13. The rear side sensing plates 141 and 146 are disposed under the plastic, and the second solar panel 142 is located above the rear side to increase charging. The rear side is provided with a right side speaker 143 and a left side speaker 145. The USB socket 144 is disposed in the accommodating space and can be used for charging and data transmission of the internal circuit. The bottom opening 148 is shaped to be easy to install, while the soft rubber 147 is disposed internally and provides a secure connection between the housing space and the steering wheel (not shown).
Please refer to FIG. 15 , which is a block diagram 1500 of the first embodiment of the connection between the remote controller and the smart phone. The front side sensing unit group 1501 and the rear side sensing unit group 1502 provide an output to connect to a microcontroller or processor 1503, where the microcontroller or processor 1503 is analyzed with a program. The analysis unit can be coupled to one or more display units 1504 and to a power source 1505 provided by the vehicle or battery. The wireless transmission interface 1506 is preferably a Bluetooth transmission interface (or other equal transmission interface) and is paired and controlled with a smart phone or an equal wireless device 1507. In this way, the remote controller can use the built-in speaker 1508 or the speaker of the mobile phone to output an audio signal.
Referring to FIG. 16, the remote control connects the block connection diagram 1600 of the second embodiment of the smart phone and the radio via the above-mentioned media center 40 and wirelessly. The block diagram depicts the construction of a remote control in which an audio signal is transmitted to the vehicular horn 1602 via FM channel 1603. In this embodiment media center 40 provides FM adjustment capabilities and Bluetooth 1604 (and/or Wi-Fi or other equivalent) paired with handset 1605. The sensing unit 1606/1607 is connected to the processing unit 1608 and provides a function of analysis and interpretation, and the function of the display unit 1609 may be performed, and the wireless transmission interface 1612 between the remote controller and the media center 40 is low power and low range. The connection is used to save battery usage. The power supply 1610 is coupled to the processing unit 1608.
Referring to FIG. 17, the remote control 1702 connects the smart phone 1703 and the radio 1704 to the block connection diagram 1700 of the third embodiment via the wireless pairing 1705/1706. All features of the system are shown in this embodiment. In the present embodiment, the processing unit 1707 or the analyzing unit can detect the touch sensing unit 1708/1709 of the above embodiment and control the display unit 1710. The vehicle or battery 1712 can provide energy to the remote control 1702, and the remote control 1702 connects to the media center via a low power narrow bandwidth wireless connection interface 1713 (infrared or radio frequency). The Media Center 40 is designed as an automotive accessory and can be mounted behind the dashboard or at other convenient locations and uses the radio's circuitry. The power line and audio signal line are connected via a line, and the USB socket is placed on the vehicle's instrument panel (not shown) to provide accessory charging and wired connection operation.
The analyzing unit is configured to analyze the finger motion, provide the touch sensing of the finger sliding by monitoring the rear sensing unit, and determine the touch sensing of the finger sliding only by the front sensing board that is touched near the rear hand.
In addition, the analysis unit can also develop a gesture language to improve the touch and slide operation. Increasing the number of front side radial sensing plates can add new gestures, such as zooming in or out of the control map or traffic problem solution.

9. The steering wheel remote control device of claim 1, wherein the sensing unit and the control unit circuit are disposed on a steering wheel cover.
10. The steering wheel remote control device of claim 1, wherein the sensing unit and the control unit circuit are disposed on a steering wheel cover block.
11. The steering wheel remote control device of claim 1, wherein the control unit circuit comprises a wireless transmission interface and is communicable with a wireless device.
12. The steering wheel remote control device of claim 1, wherein the control unit circuit is powered by a battery, and the solar panel disposed above or behind the steering wheel charges the battery.
13. The steering wheel remote control device of claim 1, wherein the wireless transmission interface is connected to a second control unit line of a media center, and the media center is connected to a mobile phone.
14. The steering wheel remote control device of claim 1, further comprising a wireless transmission interface, connected to a second control unit of a media center, and the media center is connected to a mobile phone.
15. The steering wheel remote control of claim 1, wherein the media center device is disposed on the radio device.
