Abstract
The present invention relates to a salt which contains a cation derived from the cyanine compound (A) and an anion derived from the phthalocyanine compound (B) and has a high molar absorption coefficient. The salt is useful as the coloring agent used by a color filter for a display device such as a liquid crystal display.
